I’m sure I’ve eaten more than 4 cheese sticks before.

Personally 6 is about where the self loathing kicks in

8 is typically where I stop

I have a friend who still brings up that all I fed him when he was at my house in high school was 12 cheese sticks. To me, that was a meal for royalty and I stand by it

Invite him over and give him fried mozzarella sticks. See if he even bats an eye.

Wtf kinda monster mozzarella sticks are you eating if they're the size of string cheese sticks?

Hi, welcome to Chili's

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago (1 children)

4 string cheese sticks is too many….? Oh my.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Some men are reasonable.

Unlike us.

Some men cover their weakness behind concepts like "reason" and "civility".

I’m pretty sure my 7-year daughter just devoured 4 of those and some goldfish for a mid-afternoon snack the other day.

What are string cheese sticks, my precious? —A European

Ah okay! I think i know what that is, sort of like real mozzarella but less ripe in a way, so it peels sort of stripy?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Low moisture mozzarella, yep. Great for baking because it melts instead of turning into a puddle under heat.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

pretty much, mozzarella sticks are basically just those, breaded and fried into a stick of delicious heart attack juice

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They can also be easily found in Europe. I see the cheestrings brand everywhere here.

I'm going to change your life right now.

Spicy nacho cheese sauce, steaming hot.

You're welcome.

So i just need to confirm: you are suggesting i dip my cheese in batter, then oil, then more cheese?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You forgot to sprinkle them with cheese after they come out of the oil.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What type of oil should I use?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago

Chee... Cheese oil? I don't know, I'm just trying to fit in.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Peanut oil is rarely the wrong answer. Canola oil is ok if you have plenty already.

Tallow will be best though. Bonus if you go that route: you can make the original recipe of McDonald's fries but beware that you'll be (more) ruined on the trash they sell today.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah you're right.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Tasty stuff but how does it relate to this post other than just being food?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The suggestion is that it's good with mozzarella sticks.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Ohhh op also talks about tortilla chips so I was like

"Um yeah dude, they sell that with chips at like every stadium ever"

Me at home: I'll have some hot wings as a meal.

Me at restaurants: I'll have some hot wings as an appetizer, and a burger for the meal.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I dont understand.. the string cheese packages are more than one portion? (i mean of course im only going to have 2.. and another 2 in 5mins.. [repeat until none left])

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (4 children)

Ranch is for amateurs.. Go Alfredo sauce or go home!

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

why choose, more sauces are always better than less sauces

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Alfredo dipping sauce?

You, sir, have changed my world. I never thought to use it as a dipping sauce.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You're trying to pick a fight with the entire state of Oklahoma there, buddy.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Sounds to me like an entire state of amateurs. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

While I applaud both your disparaging of the grossly overused ranch and your innovation regarding alfredo sauce, the correct mozzarella stick sauce is marinara.
