Vor der Bundestagswahl hat der Linkenparteivorsitzende Jan van Aken die Einführung eines Vermögensregisters gefordert. Ein solches Finanzregister solle für Transparenz großer Vermögen in Deutschland sorgen, sagte van Aken ZEIT ONLINE.

"In Deutschland wissen wir nicht, wem eigentlich das Land gehört. Keine Behörde erfasst, wer die größten Vermögen besitzt, wer Schlösser, Firmenimperien, Aktienpakete und Kunstsammlungen hortet", sagte van Aken. Das sei politisch gewollt.

Good question. I'm thinking more like about asking when looking for products. I find it quite hard to figure out if a product was actually manufactured in the EU or if it was just engineered here and then manufactured by the usual suspects (China etc). So for me at least people having suggestions for European products could be quite a big help.
