Neither, really. I have enough when it comes to both.

But if I absolutely had to choose I'd say clothes, solely based on jeans: I finally found a type I actually like (as opposed to "meh, good enough", which has been the standard most of my life) about a year ago. My preferred jeans can only be found at Target, and I live in Europe.

Oh mate that's so far away!! 😢

I just got a new phone, so clothes.

If the new phone is some fantasy device that fits NY exacting requirements, then sure, a new phone. But I would sooner have some more clothes, and for the price of a new phone, I could afford some decent quality stuff.

New phone would be nice, this one started to show its age. I still wearing the cloth i buy years ago.

I don't really care for clothing beyond the point that I'm sufficiently covered and not cold, but my phone's screen is broken and the battery is dying, so I'd take the new phone. It would cost the equivalent of several years of clothing purchases, anyway.

Approve. Also I love your name

Thank you! 😊

My phone is getting a bit old whereas I've got plenty of clothes. I don't need either though.

The phone. Then I paint an Apple logo on it and sell it for 2 million dollars. Then with that money I can buy many clothes and many phones

(actual answer: clothes, my current phone still works after like three years so I see no reason to change it lol

Clothes, from the actually-pretty-good Goodwill near me. A few hundred dollars would pay for a lot of gently-worn excellent-condition button-up shirts and jeans.

Clothes. My current phone has a few years already, but because all the new phones are huge bricks I'm not in hurry to get a new phone. Also it took me many phones to finally find one that is compact, smooth, has a clean interface and doesn't require service visits every few months (Xperia Z1)

If some magical genie pays for it, clothes. My phone is not expensive, but clothes are pretty hefty priced these days.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

This is an easy choice here for me. It would be clothes. I'm not planning on changing my phone soon (at the very least 2-3 more years to go with it), so a new phone would just be dumb here. Good clothes on the other hand will always be useful at some point in time, even if I don't need new ones right now.

I've been buying lots of new clothes lately so I'd absolutely love a Pixel 9 Fold but I can't justify the price tag when my phone works fine and has relatively similar specs.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

I have clothes and a phone, so non?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

New clothes since I barely even use my phone 😂

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How is that possible in today's age??

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

Dunno but I've always been more of a PC person! 😅

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Phone. Clothes don’t do anything except cover my bits and unless it’s cold who cares?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Don't care much about either. My phone does the job for me and I have enough clothing to last me to the end of my life. (You know, about six weeks.) (I jest.)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Neither, really.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

clothes, more is better.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

With clever thrifting, I can get an entire wardrobe for maybe $30... For clothing that is new or new quality.

And I'm a huge scrapper, the the brand new winter coat I'm wearing was found in a dumpster

That is simply not going to happen with a quality phone

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

I don't have a phone due to the lack of use for one, and I'm not big on clothes (and don't need any), but I guess clothes.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

No reason for a new phone, but there are some new shirts I'd like and I could use some new pants.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Someone else just brings the stuff to me? In that case, definitely the clothes. I hate shopping for them, it's always such a chore, even if you don’t care about style and just want high-quality, comfortable ones.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Meh, clothes are literally worthless to me. The thought of spending more than 30$ on shoes or a shirt is ghastly

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I find if you buy cheap you buy twice, $30 shoes sound like they wouldnt last and fuck your feet.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

I’ve been rocking 9$ goodwill converse and 16$ clearance rack new Nikes for around four years. I do currently have an insole thing in the converse cause I stand all day for work but overall it’s been fine

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago

Definitely new clothes. I usually get hand-me-down phones from my brother and have the iPhone 14, it’s still suits every need I could have and will for several more years without a doubt. I have recently been revamping my style and closet so some free clothes would be amazing! Haha
