I enjoy solving puzzles, and one that I do daily is where I have to decipher a quote by someone.

This quote was so beautiful that I had to share:

“May your love for me be like the scent of the evening sea, drifting in through a quiet window.
So I do not have to run or chase or fall to feel you.
All I have to do is breathe.”
— Sanober Khan

If you read my previous post on other place I asked about dating and most responses sounded like it was nice. Yes, I'm aware that relationships are not only good times (I've seen my mother being tired of her partner and scared of my father) but when you have literally NOTHING in your life you can't help to idolising the things you never had...

I don't think that's weird, but it's definitely sad

I am not sure how to commemorate with a present. I talked about it, but she said last year can't get better.

Last year I said I was going for bird feed and groceries, came home with a bottle of wine, bonbons and a big ass vase filled with 24 flowers and presented the gifts in stages 'ooh yeah forgot this one'. She was already happy with the choco.

One hand shopping bag, other arm vase and flowers because it did not fit in a bag walking home on icy pavement, I don't have a driver license so had to tread carefully, could have broken the vase, my legs and neck.

Maybe I'll finally go on my knees and ask her to marry? We argue sometimes who should propose. I just don't want to jinx our relationship.

I am mid-40s. My daughter is 11. I take her to school, among other driving things, and usually play NPR. Whenever she needs to refer to what she's hearing -- usually to ask if I'll turn it off so she can pull up some godawful thing where a random Youtuber squawks discordant lyrics to a Pokémon video game score -- she calls it a podcast. I've stopped correcting her, particularly since most of the "shows" release as podcasts by the next day anyway.

I remember when I used to like these weather conditions as a kid...

I’m sitting in the hospital room I’ve been in since Tuesday and can’t even begin to explain how bored I am. Let’s chat about anything except politics, I could use some distraction.

I collect hobbies and may even know something about your hobbies. What do you like to do?

Too embarassed to tell anyone I know IRL, but am excited for my new future. Been throwing alot of money with small things. PC, alcohol, movies (and im ashamed to say, funko pops). Recently i took the plunge and cut out alcohol in an attempt to get my life together, and i feel like i have a whole new start.

...it's National Redhead Day!

Today, we celebrate those with red hair, and if you are one of those people, now's your time to shine!

Every November 5, National Redhead Day (also known as Love Your Red Hair Day) is for those with red hair to celebrate their status as one of the rarest hair colors.

In 2011, sisters Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti wanted people to be proud of their red hair in response to Kick a Ginger Day. So they started a website, "How to Be a Redhead", which led to the creation of National Redhead Day, and it surged in popularity!

What makes redheads special is genetics, specifically the MC1R gene on the 16th chromosome. If both of your parents were born with this gene, you may be a redhead. However, you can still be born with red hair even if just one or neither of your parents have the gene. It's also possible to be a natural redhead even if you're black or Asian.

Throughout history, redheads were accused of being witches who "stole the fire of hell", and were burned at the stake during the Spanish Inquisition. Redheads were also viewed as unclean lepers. None of these rumors are true, but the anti-redhead sentiment still exists to this day. National Redhead Day gives redheads a chance to spread positivity and be proud of who they are.

Some activities you can celebrate during National Redhead Day:

  • Get a new hairstyle to show your support
  • Have a party with your fellow redheads
  • Watch movies and TV shows with redhead characters

Happy National Redhead Day, everyone!

spoilerHuh? Oh, yeah, there's also this thing going on in America. I think it was called "Erection Day" or something like that? I don't know.

The recent post in the Wikipedia community about the Trojan Room coffee pot got me thinking: are there any interesting webcams still running on the web? If so, do you have any favorites?

Aside from my local ski area I didn't think I could name a single webcam still running.

I sometimes click in some random clip of current anime someone uploaded on YouTube, like I dunno attack on titan or chainsaw dude, but that's it. They look cool but despite having the time to watch it I just don't feel compelled to watch the whole show.

I guess it's like the Netflix virus, that you keep scrolling and picking what you wanna watch and at the end you don't watch anything and go back to sleep. Plus, maybe it's the depression, but I don't like when things end most of the time. I feel empty, it doesn't happen with movies but with anime happens, especially when the main character is a dude. The usual end is that he beats the bad guy (or triumphs in life if the show isn't about punching people) gets the hot anime girl, and ends... I guess since I can't get any of that irl it hits me hard.
