What value do George and u/parking_war add here?

Sorry for being snippy. I do appreciate the post, it's just funny to me how lately, a lot of memes are three levels of quotes deep.

They're just citing their work

The gentle snippiness is one thing that keeps us better than Reddit.

Quality is more important than quantity.

I first read that as genital snippiness 😟

SNIP SNAP, SNIP SNAP, SNIP SNAP

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

It's genital slipperiness.

Reddit and Twitter are cesspools that I quit a long time ago, I've never been on TikTok, if the better content from those places gets reposted elsewhere (putting aside whether this qualifies) that has value.

I need to somehow post Hank Green's Tiktok crashout basically saying "Everything is a conspiracy if you don't know how anything works." I think Lemmy would love that video.

Meme conscientiousness callout, a thankless job 🫡

Conspiracy theory people pride themselves on "knowing" something that others don't. It gives them a sense of superiority to everyone else because of that "knowledge"

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hard to blame them when "hermit who was right all along" is such a dope lifestyle

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 week ago

Problem is that people seem to be more intent on being right all the time instead of the hermit lifestyle part. Which means we get way more exposure to people who think they're right all the time.

It's kinda like having the lady full of lip filler and botox injections telling us that we shouldn't inject vaccines because we don't know what toxins are in them.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And they never realised Botox means botulinum toxin, an actual neurotoxin.

It's an ✨️aesthetic✨️ disfigurement and swelling.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Yeah.

I mean, people aren't perfect, they're hypocritical, but I draw the line at loudly preaching hypocriticism, and would want a chewing out if I was this person.

I remember a guy I used to work with, when I was drinking cold water he said "cold water is bad for you". I said "you're holding a cigarette right now".

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

I had a friend who wouldn't drink tap water because she claimed it contained parasites, but was addicted to Adderall and nicotine and insisted that American Spirits were "healthy" because they are "all natural".

they do say pick your poison

An Epidemic of Fear: How Panicked Parents Skipping Shots Endangers Us All (2009):

Curt Linderman Sr., the host of “Linderman Live!” on AutismOne Radio and the editor of a blog called the Autism File, recently wrote online that it would “be nice” if [rotavirus vaccine co-inventor] Offit “was dead.”

I’d met Linderman at Autism One. He’d given his card to me as we stood outside the Westin O’Hare talking about his autistic son. “We live in a very toxic world,” he’d told me, puffing on a cigarette.

It was hard to argue with that.

read the title to the tune of bohemian rhapsody

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Same weirdos who hate seed oils claiming it's a poison by the government but drink alcohol every evening.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

I mean, pick your poison, amirite?

Wait til she finds out there's fluorine in toothpaste

They're on their way to the gym.

Most people who smoke, knowing what's in cigarettes, are idiots.

"🎶everyone wants to be, my enemy"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Before I stopped drinking, I never mixed coke with my scotch because that sugar water is poison.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

We used to shun people like this. No one would dare spew crap like this, let alone advertise it. Now they have their own little groups to tell them they're sane, they're right. People need to step it up and show them their shit is socially unacceptable.

Break that fucking sticker out with a fucking tire iron.

"Oh my goodness! That's going too far!"

No, it is not. People like this are poison to society, they are hurting us. Their bullshit has to be shoved back in the shadows. Make them afraid.

Wasn't the last time this was posted her having an anti-vaxer bumper sticker?
