Please don't post about US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected]
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

Took a quick look, the instance is mainly about Malaysia, and the Xinwen community is focused on news written in Chinese that are related to Malaysia only.
Does xinwen mean news in mandarin?
Edit: I’ll just use translate lol sorry
Yes, "xinwen (新聞/新闻)" means "news."
Ohh hi, that community is for chinese news in Malaysia
hi crabby :)
Edit: dundundub do dundundundun
If there was such a thing, a "Chinese learners" community for anglophones would be very welcome. I am trying to learn Chinese currently and it would be neat to have an online forum to bounce questions off of.
Hey that would be nice, i hope a community like that does pop up too. I want to actually start learning it as well
Self reply.
I found two Chinese instances:
They are both hosted in Taiwan.
Thanks!
Lemmy know if it sucked and I’ll keep an eye out for more!
Edit: seems to have 3 active users. I found my experience to be similar with Mexican instances
Was hoping since Japanese is so popular with nerds that a JP community would be active but that one's dead too. Basically if it's not techy it's probably not gonna be active here on Lemmy.
mind posting those mexican instances? or DM me, thanks!
Mujico.org
Apparently there was some errors getting lemmy.world to post into mujico.org but they’ve been fixed!
Edit: seems to be dead :( viva!
I'm not aware of any
https://bbs.9tail.net/ seems to be in mandarin
Pls tell me if I was stupid and confused it for another language.
Edit: lol pls ignore. I see now that it was your own post that I saw there.
