I may also suggest keeping a notebook and writing it down to remind yourself what your priorities are.

I forgot where I saw this, but making a daily/weekly list of every little thing you are grateful of can also help you get out of that loop of feeling bad.

I don't think I qualify at giving serious life advices, but I want you to know one thing, you haven't failed your son. You are doing your best, and your son knows it. The fact that you are doing everything you can to raise your son, and your son comforting you when you feel down, says to me that you love him and he loves you back. That's not failure at all. The only time you would truly fail yourself and your son, is when you stop trying.

Best wishes to you both!

"Safely" Safe from what exactly?

Yeah, that's also an additional effort lmao. That's why I was quite firm on not going full frame when choosing a camera. Weight is king after all. The Olympus OM5 and even the EP7 were also quite tempting to me before I got the XS10 (maybe they still are). So small!

No entirely surprised. Check on the Great Translation Movement Xitter page, people are vile on there.

I'm a newbie in photography. Just got a second hand Fujifilm X-S10 and Sigma 18-50 lens a few weeks ago, making time to go out and explore new places is now the harder part haha.

Lemmino

I'm surprised no one mentioned this channel yet. Previously known for making top 10 facts of everything, but has since transitioned into long form documentary of mysteries. He takes a long time between videos, but its always an instant click whenever he uploads. Does his own research, cites them, makes the background music and all of the animations for it. Honeypot for react channels too.

Fortnine

Motorcycle related videos. Does some motorcycle reviews, but the explanation type videos they mostly do are awesome. Even if you're not a motor head, you can always learn/enjoy something from their videos. If not the knowledge and physics, then the excellent videography and story telling Ryan puts in there.

Technology Connections

The Youtube Appliance guy. I kid, but he does excellent videos delving into tech in general appliances or retro stuff. One of his best videos is about dishwasher detergents, so good he had to make 2 more follow up videos about it. Seriously, go give it a watch.

I live in Taiwan, people here wear masks for whatever reason and no one bats an eye. You can wear a mask if you are sick, have too much acne and want to hide it, or because you are a medical worker and need to protect yourself and patients like OP, etc.
It also helps that we all went through the SARS pandemic, which could be seen as the previous version of COVID. Unlike COVID, SARS transmits via respiratory droplets after symptoms like fever arise, so everyone learned to wear masks during that time, and it worked. When COVID came, we knew what to do.

Good luck on your Warframe journey! Where are you in the story right now? I dropped it after the railjack came out, and am tempted to go back and see some of the new stuff. I just don't have that much time and patience for grinding all the resources now, maybe I'll just see a playthrough or something.

I'm ashamed to say I've stepped into the Gacha rabbit hole with Zenless Zone Zero. It's a fun game, combat feels quite good on PC, characters are likable, and the story is intriguing so far. Though I'm not ashamed to say that I haven't spent anything on this game, and I'm sticking to free to play, as the value you get out of spending in game just isn't worth it. There are much better ways to spend money than rolling for a chance to get a character. How much the whales are willing to spend for a character will never cease to amaze me.

Ease of access.

I've been holding on to this thought for quite some time and don't know where to share this. Too long and not random enough for a shower thought, so here it is I guess.

Car manufacturers really like their LEDs to be as fancy as possible lately, and more and more turn signals on cars have this "sequential lighting" show they do. Basically, the type of turn signal I have a problem with is the one that gradually fills up the turn signal light bar, then turns off everything when the bar is full, i.e. Audi cars in this video

IMO, not only does the animation feel clunky, I also think its a safety issue, albeit a relatively minor one. The point of indicator lights is to tell other drivers your intentions. They should be fully noticeable the moment you turn on your turn signals, and should not be halfway lit first. It probably would also introduce a delay in driver response, but I have no scientific evidence to back this claim up, so take this as just my opinion.

Instead, they should do it the opposite way where the light bar fully lights up first, then gradually shrinks. Or the Mazda way of turning on quickly then dimming down slowly like in this video. Or the combination of these two, where the light bar has a gradient end that tapers away when shrinking. (Seriously, having a gradient or a gradual dim is so much more elegant. Why don't more cars do this?)

Okay rant over. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Asphalt used on road surfaces are byproducts from fossil fuel. With the ultimate goal of eliminating the use of fossil fuel to combat climate change, are there any good alternatives for road surfaces? I don't think I've ever heard of a viable replacement of asphalt in the works, or even a plan to replace it in any environmental discussions before. At least, not enough for me to notice.

Extented question would be: what are some products derived from fossil fuel that are used in everyday life, but still lack viable alternatives you don't see enough discussions about?
