I saw a post just the other day about people that automate this kind of thing. Something along the lines of:

  • find a list of impactful quotes, and buy some basic pens + nice paper
  • spend a few hours writing quotes on the papers and take photos from different angles/lighting
  • set up Adsense (or whatever the advertising / creator account is on each service)
  • schedule the photos, one at a time, every few days, across a number of accounts. Then repost again after some time

The posts get shared around a lot and you get paid passively. Also the more unethical variant where you skip the first 2 steps and just steal the photos

Tumblr was a truly magical place to be.

It's still practically the same now as it was then, just without the porn. Still no algorithm, and the majority of the userbase is people who have decade old accounts.

It's leagues better than Twitter, at least.

I wanted to say getting poked in the eye with a sharp stick but then I thought about it for a minute and Twitter is still worse

Tumblr was a different and wondrous place back in the day.
