A lot of it boils down to abortion. When you see abortion as baby murder, it would take an awful lot to offset that moral significance. In other words, many who support Trump wouldn't exactly condone rape, corruption, etc, but they feel abortion is a much larger moral issue.

In fact, reality is not apparently basically rational. Why does anything exist at all? Surely, the trivial solution would be a simpler state of affairs. Why is existence not nothing forever? Why there exists anything instead of nothing (let alone you and me, in particular) does not stand to reason.

This is the correct answer if privacy is your priority. They're not particularly cheap, however.

And how're we supposed to learn when y'all keep dumbing shit down?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

I've done the same! It's impossible to buy dumb TVs nowadays, but you can always prevent them from connecting to the network.

Chuck 'em in the garbage and get something that doesn't break when you insist on privacy.

Woah! Didn't know that!

A+ build up in that intro.

I get more of a Mussolini vibe, personally.

In my opinion! But, I'm going to be honest with you; if I have my way, I'm buying cheddarwurst over hot dogs of any variety every time. Once I discovered it was possible to buy dogs infused with cheese, I've never seen any reason to do anything else :-)

I agree that normal dogs are excellent starchy-meal augmenters.

I know this would vary from locale to locale, but, presumably, there are some animals that do not require a permit to kill (mice in mouse traps, for example). How does this work? Is there a list of "always OK to kill" species?

Edit: Thank you everybody for the replies!

Hi smart people,

If I have several computers on my home network and I have not set any explicit QoS rules on my router, how is bandwidth allocated? For example, if computer 1 is downloading a torrent at max speed and a second computer starts a download, how is the bandwidth allocation between the two determined? Thanks!

It just seems crazy to me given the power imbalance. A cynical part of me suspects that things are playing out exactly as some evil strategists hoped they would, which, given all the children dying, is super-depressing.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
