The two formulas are:

F=(C x 1.8)+32

C=(F-32)/1.8

If you think about the formula for converting, it's close to multiplying or dividing by 2. This step is off by about 10% (1.8/2=0.9). So converting from F to C, subtract 32, divide by 2, then add 10%.

For C to F, multiply by 2, subtract 10%, then add 32.

At typical temps, I've found this is usually within a degree, and easy to do in my head (and I have zero working memory).

And terrifying.

Amazing shot.

(For those not in the loop, storms in a place like that bring high winds and torrential downpours, making for flash floods).

When you see your parents as people and stop blaming them for everything.

Yea, somebody missed a step, and someone else did too.

I have family/friends in different parts of the aeronautical world - the procedures, documentation, sign-offs, and oversight is staggering, regardless of which area: A&P maintenance, refurb, , commercial/private/military, research/experimental, etc.

I'd start with not saying anything, but writing a log/journal hourly, even if it's just in a phone app that reminds you. Remember squeaky wheels get treated like they're the problem - best to have documentation on your side.

After maybe a month, then decide what your actions will be. Maybe just request shifts that happen to never coincide with this other person. Sometimes doing what you need is better than addressing the root cause.

Ah, OK, I didn't miss anything. Thanks!

So you're saying unprotected tracks aren't a good design idea?

They also look stamped (maybe cast, possibly forged). Pros/cons there - faster manufacturing, easy to carry, fast to replace, easier to damage.

I get all the references, but I still don't get it.

Anyone care to explain?

Pretty much all farming should be produced more locally.

50 years ago our food was much more local in the US. There were orchards and greenhouses where I grew up.

With today's materials and electromechanical tech, greenhouses would be very effective all over the US.

Why are we shipping apples and grapes from Chile, to California, which then go on trucks all over the US? No way that's more energy efficient than local greenhouses, and orchards.

That's why you have the phone call, to discuss it, and in closing state you'll send an email.
