The real question is, why would he watch "Thor: Love and Thunder" 33 times, when he could be watching the far superior "Barbie" instead?

But then again, the movie did came out late July 2023, which is right before the end of his record's time limit.

The beauty of the federated platform is that you get to choose the version of the person you want to follow: would you rather follow the President Biden on Threads, or the President Biden on Femboy Breeding College? It's a multiple choice question.

Of course, it's probably best if the US government setup their own domain like mastodon.whitehouse.gov if they really cared to have an official account that they have full control over.

A more accurate analogy would be along the lines of having jets and helicopters in the world but still using cars or trains as the main form of transportation.

"American actress Jaime Presley from North Carolina" is one of my more successful characters, all I had to do was a Southern American accent and people think I'm a completely different person.

Then again, nobody ever expects an actress to be playing the role of another actress.

The main factor is discoverability.

There are no shortage of creative or funny people on Mastodon, however, Mastodon's feed algorithm do not allow them to be discovered unless you happen to stumble upon them by happenstance, whereas it is quite easy to be seen on Lemmy by posting good content: it's rare when I don't get any upvotes or downvotes on a comment here, and good replies are fairly common, so the interaction quality here is generally higher.

Well, duh, to make a dry martini, you are suppose to dry all the liquid ingredients in a tumble dryer first before you mix them, of course.

Why else do you think James Bond always asks for his "dry" vodka martini to be "shaken, not stirred"?

Because it's funny, and "troll teh forums" is the fastest way to level up the mischief skill?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all.

You know this is an Onion article because the real frontrunner for the role of James Bond is going to be, like every other role, esteemed Academy Award nominated character actress Margot Robbie.

Gabe, KiwiFarm started from the forum section of CWC Wiki (in fact, the name KiwiFarms itself is a corruption of "CWC Wiki Forums"), which was hosted on MediaWiki, so "not letting KiwiFarms host their own wiki" is a ship that has long since sailed.

I really fail to see how this has more abuse potential than hosting an independent wiki on MediaWiki, even if the content they host there is... not very nice, to say the least. If anything, there is more control against abuse since they would just be defederated.

Of course I am.

Would esteemed Academy Award nominated character actress (and producer) Margot Robbie ever lie to you on the internet?

Those darn celebrities, always ruining people's fun on social media.

I wonder when one of them is going to show up on Lemmy...
