When I was a wee nipper I said I was gonna throw myself off a tall building at 30, live fast die young and all that.

I'm 40 next year...

You can relock the bootloader though can't you?

Genuine question. I used to be an avid ROMer back int day until I got really really annoyed at all the hoops I had to jump through to use Google Wallet.

Now I have a Pixel 7a and I'm considering ROMs again. So I am wondering if I can just relock the bootloader once I find a ROM I like and it'll pass all the Safety net bullshit and allow me to use my phone like it should be, just with a custom ROM on it.

I stream Kodi to my Roku through an android app called Yatse. I stream to "local device" and then use another app called Web Video Caster which uses the Roku Channel to stream to it (the way Roku has locked the TV down).

So maybe have a look at those two apps if they're any use to you. It ain't jailbreaking, but it is subversion

Well maybe not quite that bad, but there was definitely internment camps in both the UK and the US. In the US they locked up any citizens of Japanese heritage.

I have a Roku TV. I also have Kodi on my PC. With a little android app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.leetzone.android.yatsewidgetfree I can cast Kodi to my Roku.

Edit, there's a trick to it, you cast to local device (your phone) and use "web video caster" to cast it to the Roku. Roku locked down the ways you can cast, but Web Video Caster uses the correct way

I've been using Solid Explorer for ever. I like the idea it's FOSS, and I've recently got a new phone, so why not eh? Thanks
