Sisko was definitely a fully fleshed-out character. He balanced action (Kirk) with wisdom and subtlety (Picard)

He stood at the gate between the federation and oblivion by a greater force, and managed to hold his nerve, and his poise

All while being a good father

Add Quark, Garak and a host of other characters who have complete identities of their own, and it's a winner

He watched "The Rock" last night and thought it was a documentary

It's something I've had to develop over the years

One bit of bad luck, one shitty choice and it's easy to lose almost everything

I'm resilient

I've had things fall apart on me a few times now, and I've managed to rebuild my life and end up in a good place

I'm a few months into doing it all again, and it's getting there. A hell of a lot of work and grief, but I'm still kicking, and life is getting back on track
