There are other issues with Discord relating to privacy, which would even with a libre client (I think there is one? Bettercord or fosscord or something?) be a good reason to avoid it.
But I understand that there are important communities on there.

I don't think that's the correct path. There is a scanner already, called ClamAV, which works well enough.
Virus scanners don't fix the problem though. Android does it better: security by isolation and verification of system components.

My memory is fuzzy and I don't know the correct words to research it, but I am pretty sure that depends on the DE.
Either KDE Plasma (dolphin) or GNOME (nautilus) uses the extension iirc. Maybe that changed though.

KDE Connect's remote control?

I really like the new logo.

I'd hardly call that an exploit. There's no protection.

I disagree. Sway is extremely high quality software. Nvidia is a known terrible player with FLOSS software. I hope they will continue their path of recent improvements.

X' architecture is insecure. There's no isolation between windows, and each process can spy on your input. That's just one example.
Wayland is necessary.

Let's do it right here!
Sway is a Wayland i3 implementation and you really should be using Wayland instead of X.

Coreboot is great! I see a brighter future on ARM/RISC-V than x86 though.

Me too but I had a lot of fun the past few months 💁

That's why we have Wayland. :)
