"I do not think that liberals understand the difference between influence and power, and the liberals get confused seeking influence rather than power. The conservatives on the right wing, or the fascists, understand power, though, and they move to consolidate power while the liberal pushes for influence."

Thanks for sharing that link. It unfortunately still shows to be true even today. :(

They had the billionaire Koch's to fund that. We're never getting a billionaire to fund the leopard party that will eat their faces.

:(

I fully expect it especially if they plan on doing things that will ensure they never lose power again.

It's fucked up in a way, for the last decade "the left" has been saying the Republican party is dead Soon™ but I actually think the Democratic party just died. I don't see them recovering from this and their obstinate "leader" has signaled that they have no intention on learning a lesson. If that holds true then no matter what Republicans do, they'll retain power indefinitely so axing the filibuster would have no downsides for them.

I wish I had something more comforting to say, but all I'm left with is rage towards the people that put you in this situation. So many people have so much more unnecessary anxiety now just so already disgustingly wealthy people can be more disgustingly wealthy.

I wish all the calls for guillotines weren't just empty words. :(

If we wanted to be Republicans we'd be Republicans for fucks sake...

We can't have 2 parties fighting to be the most hateful party of the billionaires. I mean I guess we can but only one gets to win.

Once they kill the provision that protects people with pre-existing conditions I'm dropping my health insurance completely. I refuse to pay them through my lost potential income for a "service" that they will just deny as soon as possible. Medical insurance companies can go fuck themselves.

There’s a cost associated with media more concerned with profits than the public interest.

Media: good thing we're not the ones paying the price! Continue current heading, profits ho!

"Remember Giuliani just keep mentioning political persecution like the rest of us so when we actually do it people will feel it is justified. Liberals will complain and we can call them hypocrites."

Trump on election night: "MASSIVE FRAUD IN PENNSYLVANIA, POLICE INCOMING!"

He wins big: "teehee, what fraud? I never said that."

Never forget that these people all genuinely believe that what they are doing is right.

I do have to admit some hypocrisy in my statement. I'm just too angry to be completely fair lately I guess, but I too have said in the past that I strongly agree with the sentiment that "no one is the villain of their own story." I do believe that to be true.

Except some people like Musk, I'm pretty sure he knows he's the villain.

This has had me deeply concerned. Nazi Germany was stopped. Who says what would have happened if there was no one to stop them?

At the moment I don't believe there is anyone capable of stopping us.... :(
