Best weather app I've used. FOSS but unlike most FOSS weather apps, it doesn't FEEL like your typical FOSS alternative.

it also supports Gadgetbridge integration, so I get the weather data from it on my watch.
Here's the TIL I need.

Same, thanks original commenter!
My favorite feature is the 1-row weekly weather widget for my home screen. I have that next to its 1x1 widget for everything I want at a glance using minimal space.
I've been using it for a while now and I love it. FOSS and pretty and customisable.
Hey, I use this app! It's awesome. They also included lots of information about the air quality measurements, which I appreciated. For example:
Than you very much! I've been using this app for moths and I didn't know this. Cool feature.
It's the best weather app for Android. Beautiful design and great optimization.
I discovered this after giving up on the BBC weather app because it wants me to sign in.
It's been really good, I love the details and it's been getting regular updates. Recommended.
My weather app of choice for about a year now. Really nice interface and solid performance.
I guess I'll keep this in the back of my mind, but I already migrated over to QuickWeather when Geometric Weather went unsupported. It stinks that I can't swipe between locations anymore, but the built-in radar and higher information density outweigh switching back for me.
Glad I saw this post today, downloaded and love it straight away! So clean and exactly what I wanted out of a FOSS weather app.
Ohh I'm so glad. I was on geometric weather and it stopped working a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful app.
Ive been using it for over a year now and it has been a breeze
Recently discovered it myself. Absolutely excellent.
I was searching for a new weather app a few months ago and landed on Breezy - definitely the best one currently out there for Android!
Does it have beautiful widget for home screen ?
Multiple, and very customisable
Downloaded and using now instead of "Tiny weather forecast germany"
Great app, just wish they had a radar.
Also for my American brethren that also use Freedom units, you might have to set speed, temperature, volume, pressure measurements to something our smooth brains can understand:
Is this "breezy weather" in the google play store? It looks similar but that's an app with 100M users, doesn't sound Ned...
I installed mine from fdroid. Just searched on the play store and couldn't see the same one on there or even anything with the same name.
The icon is a yellow Pinwheel on a blue background.
Cool looking app. I wish it was available on Google Play for people not familiar with third party app downloads.
A lock screen daily or weekly display would make this perfect
Nice app. I'm currently using the yr app from the Norwegian weather services. It would be great if that API could be implemented.
I only have one choice for weather data as it stands.
From what I see, MET Norway is an option for weather sources, is that the right one?
It looks like it's excluded from the F-Droid build.
Been using it for months now. Can recommend.
The application sounds very good, it is open source and has good functionality, but… is it true that it does not have proprietary dependencies? Because if I'm not mistaken they must depend on a meteorological center and I doubt that it is free material
They have three choices of API to use. One of which is NOAA whose data license is compatible with F-Droid's free network resources definition
Yeah, they build several versions: google play version, fdroid version, and standard version (I am assuming distributed by izzydroid).
You all of them are available on github, and you can choose which one you want to get by using obtainium or download from specific app store / repos.
- detailed differences between each version is here: https://github.com/breezy-weather/breezy-weather/blob/main/INSTALL.md

How is the report generated andwhere is the data sourced from? I often have huge issues with weather reports being very wrong or not up to date fast enough to be useful so I end up just using the national report but their app is terrible.
You get to choose. I use NWS
I'd been using Geometric Weather for many years, and I noticed a few weeks ago that it was misbehaving, not fetching data sometimes. I didn't realise it had not had an update for almost 3 years!
I had switched to Google's weather app, but maybe I'll switch to this instead. Thanks for the heads-up.
any benefits over omWeather?
Tried it, decided to stay with Weawow which is beyond excellent.
Been using it for a while now. Great Weather App
Best weather app since DarkSky. I love the notification of impending rain! Very helpful in Belgium where it rains half of the year sporadically.
Why does it send intermittent notifications stating the update failed?
