I'd love to hear what "anti-woke" actually means. It's a dog whistle but has no real substance. Definitions will not match from group to group.

Presumably means being anti-equity. At least, if you pressed them for a definition.

It only means “we have this bunch of people that we say are ‘the enemy’, but we keep the definition vague so that it can be anyone or any group that is convenient for us to use, as per the fascist playbook.” The purpose is to channel hate and people’s frustrations into a movement for their own purposes, and it doesn’t matter to fascists (or neofascists, or pseudo-fascists, etc) if it’s actually built on nothing.

“Woke” meant something, and there was the “anti-woke” people, and the right took advantage of that hate, twisted and muddled it into basically a meaningless but convenient tool today.

100% agree.

we know what it means, everything, that does not conform to the traditional white christian male masculine identity, and the "place of women in homes"- anything suddenly chaning from a white>POC policy/identity, like in cinema, where they get mad at race or genderswapped characthers, or anything to do with the "current issues", basically everything they dont like.(such as being called out for toxic masculinity, chiding feminism)

a "publishing oversight"

Yeah sure it was buddy, we know the truth. The CPC have gone fully woke just like the CBC, the CRTC, and the CIBC. They're just trying to cover it up for the election. If you're truly anti-woke vote PPC for freedom.

Same. Intelligent minds need you to give clarity.

After a very brief skim of their comment history.... reasonably confident that they neglected the "/s".

That said, it's not unusual for people to have progressive views on stuff like fossil fuel, and still be subject to massive cognitive dissonance and support a party that would feed them to the furnace if they thought they could get away with it....

I want to live in a world where the practice of adding /s to things is abolished but I'm not sure how to vote for that.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

I get that. If it wouldn't immediately result in a Techno-feudalistic fascist state? I'd say voting for whoever can make a brain implant for instant understanding of intended tone of text. But the US is trying that out right now, from what I hear it's going just peachy!
