This one:

…and, yeah, the photo is definitely over-brightened and saturated.

It's beautiful. Art isn't just about documenting events. It's about expressing information, including the feeling of the moment, even if it's not objectively and empirically accurate. I love it.

That's really cool. Thanks for posting the image. I got the following error when I clicked the link:

Incredible. Gorgeous.

As a child, I, too, was delighted to know that transformers were real and then disappointed that they were not the kind I wanted. I guess it was nice having electricity, though.

I do love the absurdity of the Jesse Pikman concept.

That's a good one. I commented the same under that post, but it is possible to have a left and a right vagina.

I still haven't beaten my first post for number of upvotes. Beginners luck, I guess.

Brutal. I love it. To be fair, that's one hell of a first post, and Ted Cruz is the wurst kind of hotdog filler.

The one I put by far the most effort in and most care is my "Read Theory, Darn It!" Introductory Marxist-Leninist reading list I like to keep on hand and link if I feel its appropriate. It's not solely my effort, though, several comrades provided the epubs, audiobooks, and tweaks and suggestions. I made it after the 2024 US Election results, and wanted to give disillusioned people a productive route to understand why it happened that way, and a way to resist.

Outside of that, I really enjoy my overly-nerdy analysis of a leak of NCR Ranger Power Armor and how it fits/doesn't fit into the NCR's two-pronged Imperialist millitary structure, combining large, relatively slow units into the long-range scouting/guerilla arm of the millitary. Mostly because it's stupidly unnecessary for what's just a TV adaptation of a video game series, a series I happen to deeply love yet hate in almost equal measure.

Wow! Thanks for the thorough response. That's a lot of content.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Haha, no problem! I do post and comment quite a lot, looking to tone it back gradually.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

If you don't mind my asking, why tone it back?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Wasting too much time online! Life is getting busier and I don't want online time to get in the way of that.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I'm happy to hear that. I hope you still check in occasionally to share your life experiences.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 15 hours ago

Oh will do! Not leaving, just limiting, haha.

I learned a lot from that post. Searching the Fediverse has been kinda slow and painful. I'll have to give it a try.

I get an error message when trying to read the comment. Not a rare occurrence in the Fediverse, but still better than the alternative.

My favourite comment is similar: the Firefox/Windows copypasta.

That was a fun read. I'm not quite that tech savvy. Why would someone prefer Linux features on Windows rather than Windows features on Linux?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I was working on some fortran code that was wrapped using f2py, so this was needed to test it on windows. As the fortran compilers on windows are kinda trash, bringing the entire system to windows (using msys2) was easier than compiling on native windows tools. Now f2py is broken for distributing packages, so the toolchain changed. It was fun to make this frankensteins monster hahaha.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 12 hours ago

Cool. I learned something new today. That does sound like a chimera.

Mine aren't totally great as they're both kinda negative. My top comment is https://lemm.ee/comment/16106836, which is pointing out that new jokes are old.

My top post is https://lemm.ee/post/5345101. The image associated with it is gone, but it was a screenshot of an old friend reaching out and acting friendly in a text and trying to sell me on a crypto scheme. That actually really bumbed me out when he did that.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 13 hours ago

I thought the first one was pretty funny. There's probably a hieroglyphic version of that joke carved into an ancient temple somewhere.

I'm sorry to hear that. It was MLM that ended a friendship for me. It's really strange that corporations can eat relationships.

That's so accurate. I can see why it got the upvotes. It's got a very rich comment section, too. Thanks for sharing this.
