You joke, but this is the kind of shit that goes on in fucking awful places like Kiwifarms.
Hacking and distributing pirated software is not limited to good people with good ethics who are doing it because they want the world to be a better place.
Arguably, a lot of those people just think the rules don't apply to them. Arguably a lot of the ethos of piracy related to "using technology to route around bad legislation" has become the techbro mantra of "use technology to route around any and all legislation that prevents me from ripping people off to make money."
Source: A lot of real unsavory assholes on private torrent trackers and "disruptive technologies" like Uber really only existing to route around legislation aimed at protecting workers.
Well, the whole operation is outside the law, so criminals fit right in there.
So between this and LLMs, pretty sure the pirate hat is an acceptable way to obtain media now.
Only if you're rich and/or a racist with power.
Yeah. But that applies to anything really.
DoJ was a farce in 2016, is a farce in 2025.
Where's my fucking unredacted Mueller Report, Merrick. You FUCK.
Reuters could not independently corroborate the claims of theft, computer hijacking and software tampering, or the threatened lawsuit. A Nexon spokesperson said the company had been unable to locate any information regarding the matter. PayPal did not respond to a request for comment.
sounds like he may have embellished his past a little bit
