Make sure that you use cheap stainless steel, otherwise it won't rust and leave a stressed patina look.
For god's sake, don't expose it to water, though. I mean, what sort of steel is this? Steel for Rust programmers?
Fun fact: it has a car wash mode. It actually will kill the monstrosity by getting it wet.
Glue is pretty strong and can work well. If you do it right.

When i read the post title, I honestly thought this is a meme.
Always have some chewing gum ready. (I would advise for cyanoacrylate but that's illegal in some places because you could use it to stick yourself to the road as a form of protest)
