So just to be clear.

Dude was here legally riding on two different qualified visas - the US government arbitrarily and capriciously revoked both... and now they're arresting him for not having any legal right to be in the country.

How did he have both a student visa and a green card?

Article says they are married, which gives citizenship.

Marriage doesn't automatically grant a green card. There's a lengthy process. Another article did say he had a green card though.

Yeah my daughter and her uk boyfriend want to get married but neither would be able to work in the other country. It's a difficult process.

This is some seriously fascist shit. It starts with the immigrants because their legal protections are flimsier and it's easier to convince citizens they won't be targeted. But rest assured, this is just the beginning and we may soon see similar tactics towards dissidents who are citizens.

Can we find where this guy is? Can we free him?

I assume this will also be fought in court. Does the president have the authority to unilaterally revoke someone's green card? Shouldn't there be some kind of due process for this?

Immigration is their excuse to build up the security and internment apparatus. Building the prisons, the logistics routes, and training, radicalizing, and legitimizing armed goons takes time. Once the machine is running well, then they will turn it loose on everyone.

Can we free him?

Not without significant bloodshed and a high chance of failure. Which the person in question might not even want or agree to go along with.

I wonder if there is a way without bloodshed. Would require a careful strategy and mass participation. Challenging, no doubt.

I mean, if due process doesn't apply, you can just call a citizen a non-citizen. What are they gonna do? Prove it in court?

There is no genocide in Gaza. Listen to the Party.

PACs were a mistake and so was CU.

We've always been at war with Ukraine and allied to Russia!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

So many mistakes boiled this frog.

Fascism and genocide will not stay "over there".

I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up being renditioned to Israeli military custody (justified as him being a“high-ranking terrorist suspect” or something)

And so it begins...
