Donald Trump’s team is worried that he keeps dropping out of media appearances, even friendly ones.

Donald Trump won’t stop backing out of interviews, and his forces have been left scrambling.

Trump dropped out of yet another interview on Friday, when a Trump adviser told producers of The Shade Room that Trump wouldn’t be following through on talks to appear on the podcast because he was “exhausted and refusing [some] interviews but that could change,” two people familiar with the conversation told Politico.

Kamala Harris recently appeared on The Shade Room, a culture podcast with a predominantly young, Black audience. Ahead of Trump’s cancellation, Shade Room staff felt that the campaign was dragging its feet when it came to nailing down the details, according to Politico.

He can disappear for 2 weeks and this will still be the closest election ever

[–] [email protected] 78 points 1 month ago (2 children)

My hope is that this demoralizes his supporters so they just don't vote.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 month ago

Same.

Even when he shows up and listens to music, I hope it demoralizes them.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He nop’d on an interview targeting young black voters. That will probably excite his supporters and cement their desire to vote for him.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 1 month ago

They'd likely have to read to know he did it.

[–] [email protected] 51 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They'll elect him even if he's confirmed dead. Just out of spite.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

All that matters is if that corpse has a big R next to its name.

[–] [email protected] 49 points 1 month ago

I hate that this is true.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 month ago

Honestly… that might be the best move for him.

Him going out just keeps making it obvious.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago

I hate that you're probably right.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The goddamn polls have only been getting better for him...

He's probably, dare I say, smart for not doing many more interviews so he doesn't fuck up anything since between their plans to ratfuck the election where they can and his lead in the polls he's pretty much got this anyway :(

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don’t get it. Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin seem neck and neck now.

He's being hidden from view for some reason. Me thinks an even more abrupt mental decline than we've seen over the last few months.

[–] [email protected] 71 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I completely agree. I think his mental decline has been significant. I don’t really think he’s been as public as he normally is and when he is, he is extra weird.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago

He’s sleepy and wants his naps.

His team is panicking? This is the guy who hears YMCA and automatically starts jerking off invisible cocks. He hasn't had a coherent thought rattling around his very big abrain in a decade. If you work for him surely you're used to the most demented behavior every time he opens his hamberder hole.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago

Nah it is much more unstable recently. His ability to form coherent sentences has abruptly declined to much lower levels than the past decade.

[–] [email protected] 60 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Harris should pick up whatever he interviews he cancels lmao

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago

She is generally doing those anyway, except the Catholic event she didn't turn up to. At least she knows where she should be campaigning and going hard.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Good idea, but she'd already done one there

[–] [email protected] 53 points 1 month ago

They're not panicking about anything. They know the more they keep him out of the spotlight, the better he does. Americans need to be constantly reminded how stupid and unhinged he is or they start forgetting.

[–] [email protected] 52 points 1 month ago (2 children)

He is not worried about anything, he's not even campaigning that much. He's 100% relying on the fact that he's going to call it a "rigged elections" anyway and create chaos, because we have people in this country who still believe this dude cares about them or the country.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago

None of those people care about the country. They just want their team to win. Own the libs. Roll coal.

remember that before Harris started her media tour they kept saying she doesn't answer questions and she's afraid of interviews. and now he takes 2 questions, switches to a ridiculous concert and cancels all other interviews.

guess what that'll do to his support.

that's right, nothing. it's a cult.

Low-energy. Sleepy. Sad. Incoherent and can barely string two sentences together. Crowd sizes are small too. He’s too old and should probably just drop out.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Totally false. He never stops a sentence. It's like reading the sound and the fury.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Well he can't string two sentences together if he never finishes the first one.

Remember when Trump was making fun of Biden for being too old and weak for the job?

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago

Remember, like everything he says, it was projection.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's possible as well, that people are also refusing to work with him sometimes too now.

Don't forget, he did also just recently threaten to sue everyone working for one of his rallies because his mic cut off and said he won't pay the contractors.

So, unless he's willing to sign liability waivers, there's plenty of reason to no longer want to interview him. And there is even less reason for any audio engineers and such to be in any way involved with any of his interviews or anything else (because if something goes wrong, he could go mafiaesque on them, and name them so their family is at risk).

Don't forget, he operates like the mafia..

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

His mic was cut last night for 20 minutes, that is a long time... Probably didn't pay

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

Yeah. Actually, that's probably why it was cut. That's a good point

[–] [email protected] 27 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

He's demented, confused, and stupid. His campaign should be worried. The dems got rid of Biden, why didn't the GOP get rid of Trump? Because they're corrupt, that's why. They are hungry for power and money.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Harris really left him shook, damn.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago

He's just old and unhealthy and can't handle the schedule.

But Harris being smarter than him has definitely upset him.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago

Ol' Drowsy Don, napping away as he does...

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

If he's too exhausted to do an interview he's too exhausted to be president.

Old man is very tired. Sad!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

And yet he's gaining. There's probably a sound argument to be made that him not doing interviews and reminding people what an embarrassing idiot he is might help him.

I also continue to believe my completely baseless conspiracy theory that Vance has been running like, and positioning himself as, a presidential nominee. I think Trump's team shared with him that he has cancer, dementia, or some other serious health issue.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I fully expect that "gaining" we're seeing will shift as reputable pollsters release updated polls this week and drown out the ring-wing polls that flooded the data the last 2 weeks.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Can't stop, won't stop.

...dropping out 😛

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Trump is a master at failure!
