This while hiking, but have been considering a switch to this.

I think it was my sons pants to make him laugh.

A beanie in the fall because I look cute in it

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Does a bike helmet count? If it does, then that. Otherwise, warm beanie whenever it was last cold.

I frequently wear a flatcap.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Baseball cap! Wearing it now actually. It has a mesh back and a gray front with my state's shape on it patterned with a rainbow 🌈

What is the definition of "hat"? I had a spider in my hair not long ago

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

...As was the fashion of the time.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Victorian style top hat

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

A beanie in the winter because it was cold outside

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

This old thing - a Barmah Squashy hate, made from Kangaroo leather. I clearly don't regularly treat it with leather conditioner like they tell you to.

This hat is my constant companion whenever I go camping. We're literally tomorrow leaving for a three week trip through the Outback, so it's about to get a lot of use.

A light grey flat cap

Stetson straw wheat gambler hat

A Stetson straw wheat gambler hat. I have a lot of hats, but this one allows for maximum air flow.

Strawhat in the Summer

Baseball cap! Been getting more into them lately after never really wearing hats. I started because a friend said they’re useful for hiking, but after getting compliments I started just wearing them in general as well.

Green felt top hat with a size tag stuck in the band. Oof that's been about 20 years ago now.

wide brimmed bucket hat, for sun protection.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Not sure. Either my 1890s mailman cap, my medieval nasal helmet or my cowboy hat.

Camo baseball cap. I only wore it to go dove hunting. Only other hat I wear is a beanie if it's cold.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Plain grey ball cap every time I step outdoors in anything less than smart casual. Slip slop slap and slide, kids.

I wear a Tilley Airflo pretty much any time I am outside.

I need a wide broom to protect my eyes from the sun (early cataracts). I need a hat that is useful for outdoor fun but also looks good around town. I do not want to worry about rain or have a lot of upkeep.

I wash my Tilley in the machine. I get compliments everywhere I go. It works great on the trail, and looks great paired with a sport coat for a country-boy-on-the-town sort of look. I can't recommend that hat enough.

A band beanie, yesterday. I wear such a hat almost every day

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I wear a baseball style cap every day to protect my long hair during my day job in the HVAC industry. I stuff it up in there

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Eh, bicycle helmet I guess?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

One of these a few weeks ago, because I went on a walk and it was really sunny outside!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

One of these cowboy hats:

(I want to add some metal spikes around it, making it a metal-goth-country hat)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I wear a cap every day

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Today, I wore my Findlay Hats "Cozy," which is a gray natural fiber unstructured strapback. It was a limited release (48 pieces) that dropped in February of '22. To this day one of my favorite hats I've ever bought. Before that, it was my Chunky Chameleon, which was Hat of the Month from May of this year.

Rainbow Pride Parade sunhat

Last night. It was a Bass Pro Shops hat I wear in the yard or on walks. They go to shit real fast, but they are cheap as shit.

However, I have a rope brim hat I bought at Tootsie's in Nashville. That's my fancy hat.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Tie-dyed baseball cap.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

It was a beanie and also quite some time ago. I don't really like to wear hats.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Kangol flat cap, gray. I alternate between that and a beige flat cap with a closer fit, which is the one that got me into flat caps.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I wear a Cadet/Radar cap most of times I'm out. I have a flat cap I wear sometimes.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Baseball cap at a baseball game over the weekend, or a hard hat at work last night, depending if you count that as a hat

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Ball cap while hiking. Not for the sun so much, more for the ticks to keep them out of my hair.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Military style cap, black, everytime I leave the house because I'm bald. Beanie in winter.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

If head wraps/scarves count, then that.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

baseball cap yesterday while playing disc golf

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Why weren't you wearing a disc golf cap?

OMG. I was playing today but I don't know what the hat is called. It has a brim and little holes for air. I guess it's kind of like a Safari hat.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Usually a ball cap of some variety, I have a couple.

It was probably my favorite, a custom one a friend got me that has "Mrs Lovett's meat pies" on it. Custom because my giant dome made the ones that were available from the show itself look ridiculous lol.

There's also a pride hat, a pirate hat with "surrender the booty" stitched in small print above the back band, a random ebay find with Bacchus on it, and one that's just plain black.

I've got a boonie hat that I use when it's raining, and a couple of dressier ones that look nice when I have to/should wear a suit.

After my hairline started receding and I got my first sunburn, me and hats became friends lol.

ID: A blue baseball cap with the Walmart logo, a stylized yellow asterisk, embroidered in the middle. It is part of the employee uniform

This sexy little thing

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

An Akubra which I have had for about 18 years. It's like a cowboy hat but Australian and made from rabbit fur felt.
