"Trump doesn't know his opponent's name" really ought to be the headline.

[–] [email protected] 79 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Considering he's still talking about Biden so much, I think you're probably right.

[–] [email protected] 49 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Kamala Biden and Tim Apple

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 months ago

And they'll undoubtedly appoint sharks and electrocution to cabinet positions.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

Did you see his press conference? He started rambling about Biden, and I'm like "Dude, you aren't running against Biden anymore..."And then he remembered that he wasn't running against Biden, and he started talking about how the Democrats forced Biden out and what a shame it was and how it was a COUP. Of course, he's no big fan of Biden, and it's actually better for him to run against Kamala, but don't you think it's terrible what they did to Joe?!?

He's so bothered that Biden isn't running anymore, and he's doing such a poor job of hiding it.

The orange felon/rapist is unbelievably STUPID. He thinks asylum seekers are from mental asylums and thinks, or outright lies, about being on a helicopter that had to make an emergency landing.

[–] [email protected] 158 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It's even better than I thought:

“Kamala Harris. You know it’s interesting nobody really knows her last name,”

[–] [email protected] 103 points 3 months ago (3 children)

This is why Trump is so hard to satirize. The reality is always a bigger punchline.

"No, you"

Reminds me of the memes about nobody knowing Obamas last name

[–] [email protected] 74 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Look, I’m not trying to make a dig about Trump’s age, because I’m not about that ageism.

But he is 78, and with the things he’s been saying lately… is he going senile?

He thinks people didn’t know Kamala’s black until recently (despite her “that girl was me” zinger in 2020, about segregated bussing). He thinks people don’t know Kamala’s last name.

Is it just him who can’t remember, because he’s losing his memory?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 3 months ago

By the way, my dad had dementia in his final years, and I would never joke about dementia. It is not funny.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Dude above us pointed something interesting out..Nikki Hailey is full of Indian, Trump probably thinks he's running against her.

He's trying to imply her "real" last name is something more foreign-sounding. Just more racism.

I mean I hate him, but I didn't get that from this. To me it sounded like he was suggesting that her newfound supporters know very little about her, that they are fair-weather followers or something. It's easy to imagine that one of his yes-men showed him a clip of a rally where somebody was fumbling for her last name, and he just took that idea and magnified a single example of something into "nobody knows", like he always does.

[–] [email protected] 63 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Considering that every accusation is a confession, the headline should be:

Trump admits that he can't remember Kamala Harris' last name.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago

Fucking weird

[–] [email protected] 59 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It's his way of belittling his opponents. Same thing with his idiotic Kamabla attempt that fell flat. He's like a school yard bully. Unreal that people are voting for this guy.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 months ago

The kamabla thing felt mildly racist towards Latinos

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I think some are at least not wanting people to know. My neighbor who has proudly flying his Trump flag as finally taken it down. Not sure if it changes who he voting for or not.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 months ago

A culture shift where people are ashamed to publicly support such a terrible person is a step in the right direction, though. I'll take it.

It makes no sense that they supported him in the first place. His only redeeming quality (in their eyes) is that he says what he thinks because he has no shame.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Okay, I'm convincing myself he really doesn't realize that he isn't running against Nikki Haley again.

She was Indian, now all of a sudden she's black (Harris's father is Jamaican, her mother was from Chennai, Haley's parents were both Punjabi)

Nobody knows her last name (Harris has always been Harris, but Haley's maiden name was Randhawa)

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 months ago (1 children)

That's actually probably more true that 99.9% shit that falls out of his stupid mouth

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

That...is a very interesting take. I really like it.

[–] [email protected] 45 points 3 months ago (7 children)

“Kamala Harris. You know it’s interesting nobody really knows her last name,” he said.

“If you ask people, do you know what her last name is, nobody has any idea what it is,” continued the former president. “Harris. It’s like Harris.”

“I don’t know, how the hell did this happen?”

Is this a sign of dementia? Any doctor can confirm?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

Definitely not something a person of sound mind would come up with.

Reminds me of when Republicans said Obama so much they forgot his first name wasn't that. Same people and same weird racism so it makes sense.

And "she's got like 6 different ways of pronouncing her name nobody can get it right"

No, you have 6 different ways of pronouncing her name. Nobody else has this problem because they have ears and the ability to repeat names after they hear them.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I feel like the Dems ought to pull the records from one of his bankruptcy cases and just run an add that runs through all of the creditors he stiffed. "Employee A, janitor at casino, owed $700, received $30." "Plumber who fixed pipe at hotel, owed $1400, received $60." The man bankrupted a casino, a literal money printing machine. Why would we want his incompetent ass anywhere near the controls of our country.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 3 months ago

The man bankrupted a casino

The man bankrupted several casinos.

You’ve got to run everything through his dementia/ego filter. Whenever he says “everyone tells me…” he means “I tell me…” and when he says “nobody knows…” he means “I don’t know…”

[–] [email protected] 25 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Huh weird. Her name is Kamala Harris. Should be easy to remember!

[–] [email protected] 27 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Whatever, dude. Just because you’re the smartest person in the world doesn’t mean you have to show off. Now people don’t even know China Joe’s last name!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

"Joe" is China Joe's last name

It just gets more and more bizarre. Dementia Don the weird racist rapist is grasping for straws that aren't there. I look forward to watching his cult melt down because it won't be long before they realize the ship is going down.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 months ago

"Old dude fights off dementia harder than he's faught paying his bills"

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago

Guy’s just totally fucked.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Translated from liar speak: "Kamala Harris is stuck in my head and I can't get it out!"

DonOld is so weird.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

Just like Obama, we will never know Harris's last name.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (2 children)

I'm just gonna leave this here

Besides being Trump, it is in no way related to this story, it just makes me laugh because it's so stupid.

Posted eight years ago, a better time. Before we knew exactly how stupid it would be.
