We're going to get a torrent of "The Left doesnt know what they're doing"

Which, doing this without an official plan announced, will shake party unity.

Just Vote D in November. I'm tired of these interesting times.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago (2 children)

They might not but it's not a reason to abandon democracy.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I'm not abandoning democracy. I'll do that when Trump strips women of their rights and tries to sell my daughters to the highest bidder.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I'm saying letting trump win is abandoning democracy. Jan 6th showed us what Trump thinks of democracy. NEVER again.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

At this rate just make sure to get all the democrats you know to make a voting plan and commit. What matters most now is we use our numbers and show that we vote for ideologies and not people, so it doesnt matter who is up there as long as they follow democratic principles.

Well with criminalization of contraception and prison slave labor being legal that's already well on it's way

The Tree of Liberty, o' how she thirsts evermore.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You can't "abandon" something you never had in the first place.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Can't say I disagree. This is like going to the store and all they stock on the shelves are Pepsi and Coke. These two private organizations are the ones who decide who we get to choose from and they both keep picking the absolute worst candidates possible.

These two private organizations are the ones who decide who we get to choose from

So-called "liberal democracy" in a nutshell. And according to the "vote blue no matter who" crowd, nobody is allowed to talk about it.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Well Johnson is already trying to argue that it might be illegal for anyone other than Biden to be on the ticket.

So I'll definitely be ignoring that.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 3 months ago

It's something he did in his capacity as president.

If it's illegal for him to drop out then it was also illegal for Trump to lead an insurrection. Pick one and stick with it.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The convention wasn't held, he was not nominated. He can release his delegates at any time. Anyone arguing otherwise has no idea how our democracy functions.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

That won't matter to the rabid MAGA mob.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

That's OK, they don't matter either. They were never going to vote Dem. They just support their Führer and that's all that matters to them.

I'm just going to respond to everything with the rapist with 34 felonies has dementia and is too old, he needs to drop out, he has no chance to win.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

Dont forget to add his actual age for better illustration.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

"Why does the party of 'law and order' support a 34x convicted felon over a former prosecutor?"

Call out the party of criminals and make them fall over themselves trying to square that circle.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

They dropped the law and order part when Dementia Don started racking up charges.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Sounds good to me

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

i mean i’ve been ignoring Biden’s garbage capitulation to the false framing that immigrants are doing crime and rapes en masse and that this is a serious concern.

i’m gonna ignore it into the future but i’ve been ignoring it too.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Was more or less talking about the rhetoric around the candidate switch. Trying to gauge where they are going to land.

For example:

"Harris is somehow worse"

"The democrats are weak"

"Trump beat biden into submission"

Etc.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

It takes strength to admit when you're wrong.

I'm glad that Democrats finally mustered some.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

ah my bad. don’t have an answer to that question at this time.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

If people go straight to discrediting Harris it'll just show they were never going to be happy regardless of who was nominated.

I had reservations about Biden but I was still gonna vote for him, and I have reservations about Harris but I'm still gonna vote for her if nominated.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

The same as I did before; all of it.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

"Kamala is not American" is coming.

She spent several years in Canada, so we have Canadian yearbook photos. And if conservatives can say Barack Obama is not American, and anti-immigrant sentiment is rising, they will definitely do it about her.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

Biden running or not doesn't really alter the rhetoric that I'd consider ignorable.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

Literally all of it

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

What were we not ignoring before?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

Hurrdurrdurrgurbleblugdurrdurr

Stuff like that

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Libs being mad at leftists that they made up to get mad at.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

The next conspiracy theory

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Their response has been the standard MAGA playbook, that of a 12 year old trash talking on Xbox Live. “Kamala is a joke too!!! 🥴”

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

They're still rambling about Hilary; they'll still ramble about Biden.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

If by "left" and "right" you mean Democrats and Republicans respectively, then I'm going to ignore all their rhetoric to the best of my ability just as I have been. I'm not interested in anything even remotely resembling either programme.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 3 months ago

"Joe would have won. Just ignore the:

  • lack of vision
  • collapsing support in Michigan because of Gaza
  • signs of obvious mental decline
  • every interview feels like visiting the old folks home
  • campaigning at half speed"
