Why tf landlords living from my paycheck to my paycheck?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Because early bird gets the worm (monopoly over houses) and then beggars can't be choosers

As a landlord, can I ask you what are you doing online? You still have money to pay your Internet bill? That's it! From next month I'm rising the month y'all don't need all this luxuries

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah I pay my internet bill too, really justifies the existence of landlords, you're working so hard ticking those rent numbers up

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

I think OP was being sarcastic

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Where does your rent money come from?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Yes and no. Fascist governments aren't pointing their guns at big companies.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Idk maybe you're misinterpreting it

People are paycheck to paycheck. We have no recourse.

Landlords are month to month. They'll consume us if they need to make things work.

The banks live bailout to bailout at this point. They'll consume landlords if they need to make things work.

The government lives war to war. They'll consume banks die if they can't find other people that they're stronger than who are playing a similar game with their banks, landlords, and people.

This is why we must consume the rich.

Reverse the cycle! Eat the rich!

Rejoice! Saturnalia is approaching! The eve of the inversion is near! Peasants shall dine as king's on the flesh of the once-royal!

You know, I see this phrase a lot, but not one of you mfers have actually tried. I wanna see you actually do it.

The point is that either way, the US government has the corporations "life" in its hands. If they go down, the Fortune 500 bailouts stop. That's when the gun goes off.

I like this meme format, Triangle was a great movie.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The meme is from person of Interest. A good police procedural from the point of view of a vigilante and his hacker boss.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh sorry, the scene is very similar to one in Triangle.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Are you talking about the movie theater scene? Or a different movie.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yes exactly, that's the one!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I love that movie. And it's so under the radar. I've never seen anyone talk about it until recently.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I love the hidden references to Sisyphus' myth as well.

Humanity living generation to generation:

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

So a system that relies on endless growth thought the utiization of finite resources is not sustainable? Who would have thought?
