This one really gives further weight to this comment from another thread, intelligence wasn't supposed to evolve here because the planet's dangerous and we are also fucking mad

Oh this is basically the plot to the Damned Trilogy. Awesome Sci fi, highly recommend. It's a bit hard to read at first because it's often also from the perspectives of the aliens
