Now imagine the same "joke" but with the genders reversed.
I know what you're going for, but it's the same middling-funny joke with either gender. Eye roll, minor dopamine hit, move on.
I mostly agree that it's the same bad joke BUT swapping the genders puts it into "bad taste" terrority given that women being held by their partners against their will isn't some absurd proposal
Yeah there's definitely a "which one happens more often" angle to take on that one. Ultimately the first poster is right and it's just an eye roll and you keep scrolling, trying to do the "well if I made that joke I'd get booed" bit is on the same level of all the "comedians" who's whole career at this point is bitching about how they don't think people are paying them enough to run their mouth.
This one gives me an eye roll but if it was about a woman I'd cringe.
But to the guy whining: shut up, man. No one made that joke
That meme left a bad taste too. The minor shock at the terrible joke was what gave the dopamine hit. Abuse is abuse, no matter the gender.
Drag thinks this joke would be funny no matter the gender if it were told between friends who are all into BDSM and CNC, as long as their gender preferences were compatible with the joke. But it's only funny if you're into consensual versions of the scenario here.
Whether it's funny or not is a personal thing - I do can laugh about dark humor. But socially this is clearly a double standard and ultimately fuel for the incel losers.

Jfc... :( Reminds me of the Turpin case & escape, which unfortunately was not the end of the abuse.
