If you go to any of the "hub" right now it feels that almost half of the non amateur videos are always with a comedy tone or even parody, is really what the average viewer wants now? I do miss the more serious products of the 90s, with a more normal setting.

Is either that or the "step- family member" thing.

Even the serious stuff is funny if unintentionally so. Might as well lean in?

I mean I definitely miss the high concept porn of the 80's but that's been gone for a long time. Last one I saw was Pirates! and even that was mostly played for laughs.

It's often painful to watch bad actors take the material too seriously, especially when it's so ridiculous.

There is some serious fetish stuff. I can't recommend any off the top of my head, but there's a guy (producer? Always stars him) who makes some like serious psychological/dom/sub/poly movies that I think are well done for porn. Guess I could probably figure it out of there was interest but I think I found it on torrent by blind luck so not sure exactly where to look.

Another exception I can think of are the shows from lustcinema. They have some shows with an overarching plot. And for porn, the acting is surprisingly good.

Could it be "Primal fetish" by any chance? (I'm feeling lucky)

No but I'll have to look them up.

I think it was Luxure? I think it's French. I think some of the movies might be dubbed into English while others are filmed in English? Anyway thought it was pretty well done. It's not winning any Oscars but I was never taken out of any scenes by bad acting. I was able to find at least a scene or two on PH.

I want to say it's mostly like adventurous couple sexy time, but it could be that's just what appealed to me. I was looking for things I thought would appeal to my wife and I. She's not super into porn but she did enjoy watching a couple scenes while I was... well navel gazing in a manner of speaking.
