He already purged the generals and JAG, so I don't know how likely that is or even if it would improve things.

The government is already shutting down though, the point is to not give the executive branch a blank check to spend because they're ignoring the courts. But I agree for different reasons that this move serves the party interests.
Where are the guarantees that the executive branch will spend the money in the manner dictated by Congress? Leadership has lost the plot.

The same people saying we can't raise the minimum wage cuz it will raise the cost of goods are somehow unable to understand this.

Look, you are welcome to have that conversation with non-voters (I am not one of them), but you aren't saying anything I haven't already said to them. Maybe that tactic isn't working?
A lot of the people I could not convince to vote this round were cynical because of the pandering to the racists and billionaires. Appealing to the worse demotivates any base of people who have rectitude, if this was not the case, then the party would not represent a lesser evil.
The title alone is Cthulhu level madness.
