"Whatever the Supreme Court says is legitimate" is a different sort than "systems that don't deviate from serving their purpose are legitimate"

Not a fan of the article throwing leftists and activists under the same bus with the Democratic party. Also rich how the author claims activists aren't acting like it is an existential threat but they are dumb for not endorsing Biden.

The coffee: Folgers

Thing is, this tool the SCOTUS has given the POTUS only works for fascists. Even if Biden did house arrests it would likely blow up in our face.

What a can of worms. If Texas can ignore SCOTUS then with this ruling what's to stop the president from ordering his staff to do the same?

That's originalists for you.

Are you saying they magically become different people once they are in the country?

Do you honestly believe people think that?

The only difference between the people you call “liberals” and the people you call “conservatives” are that the latter is further along the “liberal-to-fascist” pipeline than you are.

For me to believe that, the fascists pipeline would only make aesthetic differences while you're traveling inside.

You mean bringing in people like that.

There is so much in this sentence to unpack im not sure where to begin.

They side with the laws enacted by the people, not the people. And all federal judges are appointed.

This doesn't seem to be working as intended. We have "originalists" who turn that concept on it's head and are explicitly a political project.

It's a great narrative that happens to justify a power grab by the judicial branch; probably the least democratic of the three branches.

You have different kinds of racism, Joe is the old uncle who means well but isn't all that bright. The thing is, he updates his view unlike your other uncle, Don, who is more concerned with updating their library of racist jokes.

Crazy to think both were adults during segregation.
