I sleep in jeans sometimes, but mine are normal fitting not like skinny jeans or smth so they're pretty comfy

tired of seeing political content in non-political communities. I'm sure there's a political memes community let us live in peace please.

if it's clean enough for me to consider it half-clean I'm probably still wearing it, and it's probably jeans or a jacket.

it means that it needs to be an actual maintained organization, not Jim bob and his buddies threatening anybody they don't like. it's also not a requirement, it's only the reasoning provided.

realistically the CEOs make the biggest scare, but the chain of command usually barely even reaches them in large companies. if you really want to stop a company from doing bad things it's not a super effective strategy. that being said if you're trying to make them feel unsafe then it's perfect, but it is also terrorism by definition. do with that what you will. edit: clarified what kind of company

I more mean just like how I'm meant to interact with it, I've never really used it so it's taking a little bit to wrap my head around it.

I didn't mean how to use the microblog feature, I meant how to interact with microblog content and how I should format it when I post it. also, even if the topic was how to use the feature, there is nobody in mbin meta.

I currently use mbin and I like it because I like reddit-style social media, but for stuff from specific people and organizations microblog is sometimes better. I want to use the microblog part more (for example, make a post asking the Vivaldi account if there is any possibility of Vivaldi switching to a Firefox base instead of chromium. also I know it's not that easy no need to discuss that on this thread) but tbh I don't understand microblog stuff at all. in particular I want to know how I'm supposed to use @s and #s, and how I'm meant to interact with it. I know this seems kind of silly but I've never really used microblog-style social media until I got into the fediverse a couple months ago.

edit: to clarify, I am not asking how to use the microblog feature of mbin. I am asking about microblog in general.

unfortunately, a lot of the time they really don't have a choice at the store level. I know it's not the most helpful suggestion, but maybe reaching out to corporate to let them know there are people who want that could help. good luck on your lard quest.

I had forgotten about that... maybe instead of banning it outright it should be restricted to plastics that are certified heating-safe. in hindsight that should've been my take from the start as it aligns much better with my political views (in this case, it matters that I believe most things should only be restricted and not banned outright, an easy example being substances like weed and alcohol).

make communities, tell people about them on Reddit, about all you can do. "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink".

first the bag thing is not even remotely a us only thing, and second heating food in plastic is sanitary (bc that refers to cleanliness). idk what term would be best for heating food in plastic, but I do agree it should be banned.

why is like 30% of the content on Lemmy star trek related? is it just a side effect of the particular communities I'm in or is it an actual platform-wide thing?
