A pure analog recording can be superior to digital recordings. But those are so rare these days, we don't have a good comparison.
There's things like "bass bleed" and cross talk that made analog so interesting to listen to.
As long as the original recording is 48kHz or higher, digital recordings are awesome. We might not be able to hear beyond the 20Hz - 20kHz, you can most certainly feel it. Especially in the lower end.

The iMessage lock-in is too real for some of us. I know some iPhone users who won't even install FB Messenger (I know, I don't use it either. Fuck the Zuck) because it's not Apple/iMessage. I finally got my family on Signal and "OMG! We can send videos and pictures now!" Yeah, been saying it for years lol.
WiFi and ZigBee can interfere with each other as well since they both run on 2.4GHz and pending on what channel you're on, will royally screw with the other. Moved (nearly) all my Smart Home devices to Z-Wave and has had better connection to nearly everything.
Got myself a Logitech G502X and the Powerplay charging mouse pad. Now I can have my wireless mouse charged 24/7 and never have I think about plugging it or docking it.
Eh, it's just like Linux. Sometimes you just backup valuables. Scrap the whole thing and start from scratch again.
Personally, I'm loving the less YAML configs I have to do these days. Use to spends hours configuring it. I much prefer the click a button here and there and I'm done.

Job site got canceled, away from home, nothing else to do. Spent the last few hours cleaning up and "perfecting" my Home Assistant. I'm sure I'll do it again in a few days.
My biggest question to FUTO/Immich is if they're worried about a revenue stream, why not do something similar to Home Assistant? You never have to pay HASS a dime and never see anything to "shame" you. All you get is essentially a forwarding subdomain with some "easier" ways of doing cloud related things. There's zero "shaming" or calls to pay. I pay HASS/Nabu Casa monthly cause I'm lazy and it makes my life easier. FUTO should consider doing something similar.
