Maybe there is a German word for it. Or that could make one up

I go out but I do most of my big shopping as delivery. I just can't bring myself to go to Walmart very often. Most of my little shopping is at dollar stores. You know, the little things we used to get at what we used to call "milk stores."

Perhaps, but Iran has oil and a closer relationship with Russia.

I know this is a disgusting thought but, assuming there are ever free elections in the United States again, Gaza won't be an issue in 2028. Palestine will just be a memory.

That video was wild. That's a fierce woman that started the Haka.

Yeah, that isn't going to work in the States. Milk production here is big business. Just like all other industries, they are going to the cheapest route possible. And those beautiful vending machines you posted would be destroyed within a week.

I read it in my 20s and liked it well enough. It isn't great literature but it was a fun read.

I read it again in the last few years, I'm now in my fifties, and I had to skip the Iceland parts with the Air Force Lieutenant and the woman. My god, Clancy must have been an insufferable misogynist.

Someone should rewrite the book and remove or change that part.

bi-chulsan (no childbirth)

See, this is one of the FOUR Bs.

Being pregnant is risky enough in an enlightened society where no healthcare is withheld. I'm not a woman but I don't blame them for trying to protect themselves.

Why were there so many uncontested seats in Alabama? I know Democrats probably couldn't win but they should at least put forward candidates.

This thing just started popping up and I hate it. Edit - added picture of offending box.

Are there any communities like r/Excel on Lemmy? I searched but all I saw were Linuxmemes and Technology.

Everything just seems so out of control. The US seems to be tearing itself apart. The world is on fire. We seem to be going backwards when it comes to freedom and human rights. We've turned our backs on each other. How do you cope with all this without just giving up?
