A year or so I turned off targeted ads from Google. I very quickly noticed an increase in ads with anime tiddies.

I guess Google sees a correlation between people who worry about privacy, and people who are likely to click on anime tiddies...

Most of the games I play don't run on Linux sadly. Even Lethal Company, which is perfectly fine on Linux, couldn't be captured by OBS, so I had to switch to Windows before I could stream.

Game compatibility is getting better but still not good

I'm nervous about how long it'll be until those stop working

Going from 256GB -> 1TB is $400. That's insanity. A 1TB NVME drive is less than $100 these days.

For me the real value is that a good password manager makes it easier to not use "login with Google" for everything

  1. Ditch Chromium.
  2. Use a Password Manager instead of "log in with Google/Facebook/whatever"
  3. Keep tabs on Mobile App permissions and revoke as many as you possibly can. I revoke location permissions from every single app except Navigation apps, which have to ask for location permissions. If possible, remove apps in favor of Native Alpha / Hermit web apps

I daily Pop OS, it's overall pretty good. Drivers are super easy to deal with, and the Pop Shop has a lot of game-related apps ready to install. Biggest headache is that sometimes my Mic just won't work and I have to reboot. That, and steam does Vulkan Shader Compilation on every game launch it seems, which can be a pain

Use a Zigbee controller or Zigbee USB stick on a controller, and Zigbee lights. I'm planning to switch to that myself

Any recommendations for a Zigbee hub to use with HomeAssistant? I'm planning to make the switch now that Hue is doing this
