Game of Trees (Got) is a version control system which prioritizes ease of use and simplicity over flexibility.

Got is still under development; it is being developed on OpenBSD and its main target audience are OpenBSD developers.

Got uses Git repositories to store versioned data. Git can be used for any functionality which has not yet been implemented in Got. It will always remain possible to work with both Got and Git on the same repository.

Game of Trees is developed by OpenBSD developers and other contributors. The software is freely usable and re-usable by everyone under a BSD license.

Very useful. Thanks.

Just received 2 SSD for OS+Apps and 2 HDD (2x the size of the SSDs) for backups.

I will use Debian 12 to serve a few VMs and i'm thinking on using btrfs with RAID1 and encryption for the set of SSDs and for the set of HDDs.

I'm thinking on using a non-encrypted boot partition and md for swap and the rest of the drives for encrypted raid1 with btrfs.

Any hints or suggestion for the storage layout ?

With SSD storage, what what your thoughts on redundant storage devices (e.g RAID1), is it a waste, a nice to have or a must?

what are your experiences and thoughts on this ?

Appreciate your opinion, as I will probably move from HDD to SSD.
