It is great, but it never feels smoother than Summit, Boost or Sync :/

Especially while scrolling, swiping back posts or going to your subscriptions.

I can't use Lemmy without mark as read on scroll and clear read posts (client side), are those both features on Jerboa?

Maybe I have been a little less active, but that is because Sync for Lemmy is too broken to use.

My two best alternatives are Boost (currently using it) then Summit for Lemmy :)

Is The Wheel of Time bad? It looks interesting to me...

How does this affect Debrid services, Stremio, Kodi, Cloudstream, Plex? (I could go on).

Yeah totally agree with this, macOS is way more efficient than Windows, so 8 GB doesn't feel like utter shit, I would expect it to be similar to Linux with the same amount.

My main MacBook Pro has 16 GB of RAM so for my usage that never is a problem, but my gf got a M1 MacBook Air with 8 GB and we both use it from time to time, and it is snappy and the RAM is never an issue, even if the machine never goes off lol.

The lack of official soundtracks in Spotify are the mean reason I use YT music for that.

I remember my colleague days when I stopped using USBs in favor of Dropbox, I felt I was living in the future.

Do you have this in your exemptions?

Add this in your exemptions and test it.

Long time Kodi and Plex user, it was a matter of time that I started messing around with this.

This is the app called Franco Kernel Manager, one of the best kernel managers that are out there... Even when it was outdated (which I think that's the cause it got booted from the PlayStore?).

I used it to check the process of my phone and monitor the active and idle drain mostly, I paid for it a long time ago, but now it just fails to check the licence and it doesn't let me use it fully... I think there must be a cracked APK over there...

EDIT:

Fortunately the app is back in the store and hopefully that update version comes soon enough!

I'm not saying particular genres, we all have our less desired musical genres, I mean music in general.

When I was a child I was very confident to say that I hated music, all kinds, and my cousin used to say that was not possible.

Turns out he was right, and I only hated the teenage music my sister from the 90s used to listen to.

Secretly I enjoyed soundtracks and OSTs from several media, such as animes (digimon openings and battle themes for example) and some TV shows or even videogames.

Then my taste "evolved" and pretty much stayed at rock, heavy metal and alike.

So that little memory lane inspired me to ask about this.

I have been a user of Real Debrid for some time now and looking how easy it is to watch whatever the heck you want with light apps such as Stremio a sudden doubt came to me, how does these Debrid services even get to be that stable and copyright free?

I mean are they playing that "we offer a cloud service" flag? Because even old school services such as MediaFire and Mega who I guess say they are personal cloud services get some files flagged too...

Or is it only that their user base ain't as big as the aforementioned services? I don't even know if this is true yet, I am a RD user more nowadays.

I swear I saw something like this here on Lemmy but I can't find it.

I know android manages the RAM very differently than any desktop OS as it frees up RAM in order to have it available for other processes being third party or core ones.

I remember I saw something that you could fiddle with within the Firefox config page.

Or is it not possible on Android?

I'm using Firefox Nightly, because I think it is the only version that has a working pull to refresh.

I only get a unknown error message and a retry button which keeps loading forever, it seems to be working fine on my Lemmy.world account.

Lemm.ee is not down BTW.

Following the spirit of spreading across the Fediverse (and because my main instance is down so many times, because diverse reasons) I'm intrigued about the joining instance process, because I honestly don't know what criteria to have in order to join another one if I ever want to do it.

That made me curious of how you decided to join?

I firstly join to lemmy.fmhy.ml thanks to Spez and a Reddit post from FMHY subreddit, then the tragedy occurred, then I joined to lemmy.world which is/was my main one because I pictured it like a good home, then lemmy.fmhy.net revived and I am with them too, but seems like they are in a bit of trouble with the server, finally now I am in lemm.ee, but only because I just wanted another backup, not because I searched for it especially (also it was mentioned in a comment about smaller instances and one user from here throw a joke to not join here because it sucks so that way the server would be more stable, so yeah, I joined).

To be clear I am not in search for yet another instance (that sounds like a good instance name to be fair), I just want to know how the deciding process is for you, is it just random? Is it because of personal tastes?

I couldn't care less about NSFW stuff, I don't search for it specifically, but my day won't be ruined if I see a tit.

I like gaming, tech, Linux, SBC gaming, emulation, macOS, Android stuff etc (yeah how original) should I look for an instance dedicated to that if I ever want to join yet another one? Because I see topics like this in almost any instance.

I read you lemmings!

EDIT: BTW the migration process has been easier for me thanks to LASIM, so I wouldn't be scared if I ever want/have to migrate again.
