Trolls gonna troll.

Did you not understand that perpetuating a transphobic (and racist) troll is still being transphobic?

Thank you for 'splaining my pretty little head full of your nutritious facts.

I mean, some people are, for sure, but otters are full of parasites because they party in their own shit, and their mating practices are... somewhat upsetting to say the least.

Otters are assholes.

Metafilter: some people just want to watch the world scratch its head in bewilderment

It's from a period of film when multiplex cinema was exploding, there was so much demand for scripts that indy movies thrived. Six Degrees was so. much. talking. Which I could see how that made it feel like 70s movies a bit I guess.

Edit: same for Slackers.

Edit 2: oh, and The Last Supper

Six Degrees of Separation

I make aeropress at home, been my go-to for years. My taste in beans never really left the 90s though I do enjoy a fruity brew once in a while.

I know where the best dry cortado w/ oat-milk is in the Minneapolis - St Paul area.

A soft spot for a not-too-sweet miel.

Help me plan my "can't regret not doing that" coffee list?

Edit to answer some similar questions all at once: I'm not going to talk about my medical situation here, but yes, it was at the advice of a doctor. Decaf is a possibility, but I e been down that road before and it tastes like disappointment, even with today's improvements; maybe once in a while, though.

Cross-posting here from YSK.

The Great Race is better on pretty much every dimension than Airplane! – comedic timing, joke density, meme-ability, sound track, cringe-resistance… It’s just, better. It holds up better, too.

They are admittedly very different movies, both really well done. But TGR has absolutely epic production that’s not necessarily obvious on the surface. The big fist fight, for instance – the moment when Leslie stage dives is choreographed with so much detail, and most of the stunts in that shot are tossed aside like croutons, but absolutely make the scene.

Another thing is that TGR never winks at the camera, despite being pretty campy. That's a feat!

Last but not least: the best pie fight in screen history

The title is the post.

Really, you need to know: The Great Race is better on pretty much every dimension than Aeroplane -- comedic timing, joke density, meme-ability, sound track, cringe-resistance... It's just, better.

edit: "not work" as in "food, housing, and healthcare needs are met," not as in "billionaire super-villain money"

I would sail sail the great lakes for weeks at a time.

I would write more music, and hire musicians to play it with me.

I would spend half the summer growing food (which I already do!)

I would continue to invest in my own mental health, but spend more time meditating.

I have chronic fatigue (to simplify a longer story), and spending that precious energy solving logic puzzles for a paycheck is sometimes pretty demoralizing.
