You know what, thanks for making this post. I have used Letsencrypt and Certbot for years now, i'd never have thought about donating, but since you said that I just made a donation.
I think the hilarity depends a lot if you played "The Witness" and got to taste it's self importance.

100% agreed. Not only was the Dialoge Choice system of Yes, yes but sarkastic and no (but actually yes) incredibly limiting, but even the story didn't really do it for me plus the whole settlement thing.

And it usually is open source, if you don't want to install a flatpak or docker image, you can always compile it yourself, and if you feel generous, you package it up as an .rpm, .dep, or whatever your distro of choice wants and create a download for it. I also have not (yet) encountered a project i wanted to install that didn't either provide packages or at the very least detailed instructions if I want to just install that locally.
