I live in Miami and i hate to report that it's going swimmingly well for the GOP. There's a culture down here that anything even looking like it might be confused with a leftist policy is immediately labeled COMMUNIST and hated with incessant fervor. No one dares be seen as a Castro-fellating leftist scumbag so they're constantly virtue signaling how republican they are. Same with anything the Catholic church doesn't like as there are lots of Catholics here and they vote as they're told. The result is you're as likely to see a Trump sign in a million dollar yard as a broke-ass apartment complex. Spanish-language talk radio here is so far to the right it wants to harvest the poor for their organs and bone marrow.

If Florida goes for Harris I will be legitimately amazed. Thrilled, no doubt, but amazed.

If you want to punish Musk in a meaningful way, then once the fine has been paid in full, the countdown can start. Once the same amount of time that elapsed between Twitter's first noncompliance and the fine's check cleared, then Twitter should be allowed back online. There will always be money to pay fines but they'll never get the time back. Other companies will take note.

I'm not sure what the goal is for the SovCit. Are they trying to scam a dealership by making payment in some non-existent form? (that said, SovCits and car dealerships totally deserve each other)

I pay for Netflix. I pay for Comcast. I pay Netflix to pay Comcast to allow me to have what I pay Netflix for in the first place.

I absolutely support her going to jail for Trump.

Musk isn't hurt by the amount of money he's fined, but it annoys him terribly that he can't control the situation and that his usual tools for getting his way are useless. It is a pebble in his boot that he can't bluster, cajole, or bribe his way out of the problem like usual.

Thankfully impossible. Musk is foreign-born and therefore ineligible unless the constitution is amended and that bar is too high even though the GOP controls most state governments (they need 2/3rds). The GOP played with this idea back when The Governator was polling very well but even then it never passed the trial balloon phase.

They lost me forever at "at the last minute". Anyone with even a slight concept of logistics knows there's no way they're just going to swap all the provisions, luggage, load, fuel, passengers, etc. at anything near the last minute.

Buy a gun or two. Nothing in this country has more rights than a gun.

This shareholder says "Bye!" and I'll buy more when the market is done panicking over his departure.
