Your dad's a smart guy!

That's the smart plan. Every time I've been to a casino (4 times I can recall) I had an amount set aside that I was prepared to lose and that would be it for me. A couple times I got ahead and just cashed out.

If you get voted into power, lobbyists give you even more money.

The average voter is living paycheck to paycheck, just trying to make ends meet. They see executives making billions while the US government is spending trillions on military equipment, and meanwhile, they're seeing the prices of basic necessities skyrocket and they're just trying to figure out how to live.

This person may vote for Trump, or just sit out the election because they don't think either candidate cares about them. It's not about whether you're progressive enough or centrist enough, it's about speaking to the biggest problem: wealth inequality.

Will the Democrats figure this out? I guess we'll see in 3 years.

Hell yeah. There is no culture war, only a class war!

That's a great idea, I think I'll do that as well!

I feel like threatening to withhold your endorsement just equates to holding the country hostage. He absolutely has been trying to push the Democrats to adopt more progressive policies and block military shipments to Israel, which is why it's so frustrating to see them disregard him and lose because of it.

Sort of, Dan Wilson said he had the idea while writing the song because his wife was pregnant so he slipped it in as a double entendre. It's like 90% bar closing with a couple lines alluding to being born: "Closing time, this room won't be open till your brothers or your sisters come".

People have an inherent inability to assess probability. Even with "safer" games like black jack when your odds are a little closer to 50:50, people will keep pushing until they have no money left. Bet it all 4 times and there's about a 94% chance you lose it all.

He made it clear where he differed from Biden and Harris, but encouraged his supporters to vote for them. Are you proposing that he should have encouraged his supporters to ditch Harris, giving Trump an even more sizable lead?

Thank you on behalf of someone else who gets super annoyed with loose carts and lazy people!

Lots of people are feeling hopeless and upset right now, and for good reason. It's normal to feel like no matter what you do, things are going to get much worse for a lot of people. Blame, despair and anger are natural reactions, but as the shock of the situation dulls, what's your plan going forward?

Call me naive, but seeing hate have a resurgence makes me want to do more to help the people that are going to suffer the most. I'm going to make a plan to volunteer more of my time and resources to help organizations that need it. I'm going to see if my friends can organize with me to sponsor a migrant family. I may not be able to do much, but my personal way of coping with shitty situations is to try to make the world a little less shitty.

I'm going to try to be kinder and more forgiving with people, and be a better role model for my kids. And I'm going to resist and fight back against hate when I see it.

Lastly, I'm going to be a more supportive friend to the people in my life. And to anyone reading this that feels like this world's gone insane, and you're all alone: you're not. We're still in this together, and I appreciate everything you're doing.
