On the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 9, we note just 0.26GB (275,336KiB) of locked RAM [...], a very small amount most likely used for some background tasks in the OS. However, on the Pixel 9 Pro XL, this leaps to 2.91GB (3,051,936KiB) of Unevictable and Mlocked RAM. Subtract out the Unevictable RAM from the Pixel 9, and there’s an extra 2.64GB (2,776,603KiB) reserved on the Pro models.

IMO it's better to wait until Samsung puts this into one of their flagships for it to truly start catching on

That's where most of the gaming population of the world is innit? Excluding China, if a game doesn't have a playerbase in the US it's very unlikely to chart on Steam and is therefore unlikely to be "popular". Only exceptions are games like Football Manager and they are not the norm.

Does it matter? The scale of population makes US literally irrelevant in this conversation.

Tasker? It's provided an alternative for several years, it is literally the only paid app I know which does this.

One of the skulls in Halo 3 was found by hackers in game scripts, a decent number of secrets in the indie game Fez were found by reverse engineering or brute force. Not to mention game guides in even older days.

So no it's not really always been "shrouded in doubt and mystery".

Does UK not use stone as a measurement?

Yeah I'm still scared of switching on 2FA in case something goes wrong.
