Except Hamas aren't solely fighting for freedom, they specifically want ALL of Israel gone and ALL Jews killed, they literally want a theocratic dictatorship under Islam. And they won't stop until they get it.

IDF and netanhayu are real dirty here, but Hamas and the (maybe) majority Palestinians that support them are like the anti thesis to a free society. Plus they're violent homophobes that stone LGBTQ people to death.

That tips me to Israel's side in this, minus the far right Jewish extremists that literally killed an Israeli prime minister because he was succeeding in brokering peace.

Like over a decade ago but they havent held elections since. I've seen countering articles saying Hamas has overwhelming support by the people, vs actually Hamas murders anyone who goes against them. So who knows. Fog of war and all that.

I guess this is kind of my point. The general left consensus on copyrights, creator's content, DRM, and AI is not founded a position of principles, it's foundation is seemingly only what serves the end goal which is whatever is perceived to help middle/lower class the most.

Which of course I can totally get down with, but I just resent that everyone covers their arguments as if it's coming from a principled idea when in actuality they hold little principles on the matter and just want an end goal.
