Ah, thank goodness!

Same here. I'm doing the same, in any case.

That being said, I'm still hopeful that, even if they don't call it a break from Biden, once she takes office she'll have an updated policy towards the conflict that, while not officially dropping support for Israel, allows her to find an actual resolution to the situation, sort of a way for her to leave her unique mark on the situation without officially breaking w/ Biden.

Not sure why someone would want to try it. It's basically just Chrome OS but more limited, https://support.google.com/chromeosflex/answer/11542901?hl=en

Some of these are really severe - no CD/DVD support? Really?

Also more concerning, is that Chrome OS Flex might become unsupported soon, as per https://www.zdnet.com/article/google-might-abandon-chromeos-flex-next-heres-why/

For the technically minded trying to keep up to date and secure older hardware, a good GNU/Linux distro seems like the best choice. And it's not so hard to set up a good Kiosk if setting up the older hardware for a less tech minded person, https://oofhours.com/2023/05/02/creating-a-kiosk-with-linux/

That said, although I haven't tried it myself, I found a good story about someone's success with Flex, over at https://www.zdnet.com/article/i-revived-three-ancient-computers-with-chromeos-flex-and-you-can-too/

What the heck. This is just...

Now I see why Zelenskyy wants to join NATO instead of directly getting under the nuclear umbrella of the US. If the US chokes - if this idiot wins, the former can still supply nukes from the UK and France.

Obviously I don't like either and I love both ad blockers and tools that bypass paywalls.

But if forced to choose: I prefer ads. Here's why - there's no way I could reasonably afford to sign up for and pay for everything, if it was all behind a paywall. So I'd only have access to and be able to save a limited number of articles for myself.

But if it's just ad heavy, it's more accessible and I can still save it. The range of what I'd be able to save and retain is much larger this way.

I think this shows why Dems were right to seek out the moderate Republican - it seems there are folks who are Republican through and through in this battleground state, who can't believe they're going to vote for Harris - but they have indeed decided on Harris.

So happy that they failed. All that money, energy, and effort down the drain, all for nothing. The free world still wins.

Eh, I see where you're coming from, but this seems like it is a legit news article. I can believe it really happened.

And - Vance has a point. He's not racist (edit: only) because he thinks the border should be shut down. He's racist for other reasons, like knowingly making false accusations about a certain racial group eating cats.

Right, because if she (Harris) stays on, he loses. Smart guy. /s

Kudos to Brazil to having balls, unlike Mongolia, and this despite being part of BRICS (unlike Mongolia which isn't).

Yeah, that's interesting. The "merc" bit implies it's a private citizen doing his own thing rather than an official gov't or military action, but even so..

The rainbow favicon for the website sure is appropriate - this certainly brightened up my day.
