So my workplace is mostly iPhone users and someone asked me what kind of antivirus software I used on my Android, and I said "none" and he flipped out about how unsafe it was. Other people chimed in saying how all androids need antivirus apps and I've never heard of such a thing. I do have ad-blockers and a VPN but never downloaded an antivirus. Should I? If so, what would you recommend? Thanks lemmings, love you.

I didn't know exactly, off hand who Brian Blessed was but immediately recognized him in a video and I totally agree with you he would have been perfect.

I can appreciate this take, I know he's a popular character and I read somewhere that Jack Black would be the only actor capable of pulling off the role which absolutely makes sense to me (and honestly does make re-reading more entertaining.) I get it, I just don't like him. The world around him is falling to darkness and he just doesn't care. No one really knows what he's capable of outside of his realm because he likes his life with Goldberry and again just doesn't care about anything else. I always saw him as representative of those apolitical people who didn't care enough to stop fascist regimes take over their own country because they only cared about their own day to day life and couldn't be bothered to vote or fight for anything. I'm glad they took him out of the movies, it flows better and fits the tone of everyone coming together in a fellowship to defeat evil. 🤷‍♀️

Merry Happy! I posted a few days ago asking for help with a prelit tree that had entire portions not lighting up, or flickering like crazy. It was a crack tree situation and I could not find anything helpful on my own and you wonderful people came together and saved Christmas/ yamainwitch-mas. I was literally ready to just throw it out and have a festivus pole. You guys are the absolute best. A thousand thank yous! Sorry I don't have a crack tree before picture for you, I was too embarrassed lol. Lemmy is the best 🤩✨

Where to find replacement light bulbs for artificial Christmas Tree? (lemmy.world)

Dearest lemmings, I have a prelit Costco tree that changes from warm white to color and several of the lights are out but I cannot for my life find a replacement anywhere. I called Costco/Polygroup (company that made the tree) and they don't sell replacement led light bulbs but they gave me these specs: LED dual color 3mm Green Base 20MA 1.8-2.4V or 2.8-3.6V. I tried buying a set of lights at Home Depot but they did not fit and my google-fu is failing me.
