Because Google doesn't have root access to your phone. You can install the pixel camera but give it no network permissions. It's just another camera app at that point

Definitely agree with this. I'll try to ask this in order to connect with their culture (such as with traditional cooking), but I can see why someone would have their guard up when asked. It's all about intentions

You can install the pixel camera on graphene and it functions exactly the same as the stock OS

Your third link actually discredits your point. The Play store is the "main"/1st party app store for Android devices and the article says how it's the biggest distributer of malware over 3rd party app stores

This might just be the best solution to keep things slightly more honest online though. With SEO targeting THE single search engine, it'll forever get gamed by irrelevant/ad based results. If everyone uses different search engines then SEO starts to fall apart

I used Google back then and started using Kagi recently. The results I get remind me of how Google used to be.

The only downside is it's a paid service, but it's worth it for me personally
