We do! Ants have been involved in millions of experiments, and that is how we know so much of their society and entomology. We CAN communicate with them using pheromones and food sources. It’s actually quite simple, really. They just don’t have much to say beyond what we observe. It’s not like we suddenly start seeing unique chemical trails so they can communicate with their overlords, so I suppose they don’t perceive us as other beings in the world.

That timeline is around 10^27 years, of which we only right now have been around for about 10^9. So we are VERY young compared to the max age. On the cosmological timescale, we are still “being born”

The threat comes from one candidate specifically, of which our glorious 2 party system has confirmed will ONLY be one of those two. And he isn’t threatening YOU, but rather our entire way of life. So, go ahead and vote however you want. Just know the repercussions on the grand scale, and maybe be a little humble.
