I didn't say "everyone who uses it should eat shards of glass".

If people enjoy it, go ahead. I'm just not one of them

I'm used to it. People don't like it if you had bad experience with FP

I've never had a single flatpak program work properly. FP definitely is a super tiny bit better than snap, but they both just absolutely not work for me in any program I ever used it with

Also he learned to open doors. I have handles instead of knobs and he reaches up and paws at it until the door swings open. It’s adorable but I can’t keep him out of anywhere now.

when we had cats, they learned to jump-grab the handles to open the doors. They even taught the kitties we later got.

At some point we had to install the handles rotated by 90°, so they pointed upwards. That mostly worked. Although one very deperminate cat learned to open them as well

yeah, proton is amazing.

I'm using linux for 17 years or so, and just kept my gaming rig as my only windows machine.

Gaming on linux was super hit or miss. Sometimes wine (at its forks) worked nicely, sometime it was unusable.

It got a LOT better when everyone started using unity and unreal, as they have native linux compatibility, but proton now closed the gap nicely
