I worked at one of the most high end restaurants in my city for a few years. It felt wonderful when someone stacked plates, because the majority of customers expected every little thing to be removed as soon as they finished. I always stack my dishes now, and put all the garbage on the top plate (never in a cup, cause the ice gets dumped in a different place)

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was my jam as a little girl.... but it might just be because I ended up being bisexual and there's a lot of beautiful and badass people in it.

I have a degree in postmortem science and hobby in anthropology/archeology/paleontology. The biggest extinction event this globe has ever seen, the Permian Extinction, where over 90% of ALL life (96% of ocean life) went extinct, was from pollution and a mere 10°C increase in global temperature. That's all it took to decimate life on earth. The pollution and heat came from volcanoes, but we are on the same path. It's already gone up 1.6°C... I do think humanity will survive, but not the majority of us.

Some of my family doesn't believe in climate change, and/or is religious to the point that they don't believe in carbon dating and core sample data. I wish I could make them believe, but no data in the world will work.

I was part of a documentary on the largest fires in recorded history and so many were within the last 10 years it was terrifying. One in the forests of Russia was still ongoing when the doco was finished and RELEASED!

My cheat for getting the shrimp meat out is to pinch the tail. It just slides right out.

Pansexual woman chiming in; boobs are distractingly wonderful!. I'm more of a butt girl, but always appreciate nice boobs 😅

Being a dominatrix, might help though. Nipple clamps, biting them, teasing them; it all adds to my pleasure.

I've been opting out of every single one, but some companies are assholes and make you send it in through a written letter (Meta) or worse, automatically accept it if you've even just used the app/site/product after they send an email to you regarding changes. The fact that massive corporations also say all matters must be resolved in small claims court and with mandatory arbitration with the company's arbitrator is incredibly illegal sounding. Fuck you AT&T. They were the company who fought for revoking arbitration rights in contracts. The Supreme Court decided it was legal.

Yes, but the quality is so crappy now. The same model of machine I have from 2008, is being sold today, but it's rickety and not as powerful as it once was. Singer bought the sewing division in 2004 and kept the quality for a bit, but it plunged down in a few years.

They do, but they're pathetic compared to their older counterparts

I think you're putting this in a different connotation on it than I do. It's hard to convey emotions in text... maybe I need more profanity... it's fine if they're taking themselves out, but it's just fucking devastating that these assholes are hurting their kids when said adults are safe and were vaccinated.

Sewing machines. I'm a professional cosplayer and sewing/embroidering is a big part of that. My newest machine is from 2008. After that, they started adding in all these different electronic features, that are garbage. The machines both break easily and are limited to the technology/software of that time. You want a machine that can sew through leather and silk with the same grace, get an older machine. If you want something newer, avoid electronics or anything with a touchscreen.

My Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118 is so strong that when sewing corsets, my needle commonly punches through the thick ZipTies, that I use for boning, like they were butter. It's a beast of a machine. If she ever breaks, I'm going to find a used one.

It just sucks that innocent children are hurt (or worse) in the process

When I got her, she was so small that I had to cut a sock for her to wear as a sweater because nothing fit. She's an Aussalier; half mini Australian Shepherd and half King Charles Cavalier; and the most loving dog.
