I think a lot of the working-class Trump voters will protest once the economy gets bad enough. Not with us, but I don’t think they’ll be able to take it when enough of them lose their jobs.

Someone said that he might’ve been upset because Trump is buddies with Netanyahu.

Bessent: I just wanted a fascist government takeover, not a bad economy.

I don’t want it to end in violence but with the really bad recession or even depression that is headed our way… there’s no way to keep people together over that. Too many people will lose too much.

Even the neo-Nazis are questioning Trump. Nick Fuentes seemed frustrated with him.

They did after the Great Depression. The tariffs Trump is implemented have a good chance of creating a Depression.

I always wanted American Hegemony to end. No one country should have that much influence. We were abusing our status as a leader for a long time, anyways. I just didn’t want it to end like this.

Also, food isn’t the only way to get people to turn to violence. Violence against a population, collective punishment, and unnecessarily dangerous work conditions work as well. The American Revolution turned from a political squabble to a military one when the British heavily occupied Boston as punishment. Labor strikes used to be violent, mainly out of necessity.

That’s going to be pretty soon at this rate. The number one reason people are looking the other way is because they’re afraid of losing their jobs and healthcare. We’re heading for a bad recession this summer where a lot of people will lose both anyways. So they will be all out of excuses.

This is also why fired federal workers are one of the angriest groups so far.

I love that show.

I only have this issue on political communities. Anger towards Americans is much more pronounced on Lemmy than on Reddit. People will call for violence a lot more frequently here than on Reddit.

I understand the anger towards Americans, but it can be downright toxic to organizing at times.
